As I was going to my locker, Loads of people were at the notifications board. It usually has updates, news and plays or performances every February. And my best friend, Olivia, was singing up for the new play: “Eliza” It’s a story about some girl who was going through a situation, I’m not really sure but Olivia knows all of it.
She came running to me as I was walking to my locker, looking happy. She blurted out:
“I AUDITIONED FOR ELIZA!” She screamed. Everybody looked at her like she was some psychopath.
“That’s great, and I think you might wanna keep your voice down.” I said.
“It’s Friday, Wanna go to Frankie’s? I heard they’re giving out smoothies for just $2.12!”
“Sure, but this time make sure you actually have money, and not borrowing from me, you owe me ALOT.”
“I’ll prove to you I don’t need to give you alot.” She got her calculator out of her bag. “Okay, so I owe you………. $23.78!!!! WHAT!!!” She was shocked and was starting to panic.
“I hope you got enough for that, because I’m not letting you borrow until you pay me back EVERY SINGLE CENT.” I said firmly.
“Darn it.” She muttered
I ordered a mocha strawberry twist at Frankie’s. Lots of people we’re lining up for their orders. There’s always a lot of people on Fridays. Olivia and I agreed I would pay for now, but I hope Olivia’s holding on to her promise. Otherwise, She won’t be getting smoothies for the rest of her LIFE.
I stared at the TV at Frankie’s, and heard there was some mysterious happenings and signs near Brooklyn, that’s where I live. They said there was a group called “Shadow Keepers” they perform some kind of rituals, which people don’t believe in because it’s like, the 21st century! Though I was pretty interested in it and I was thinking about researching about it, because the truth is I’m a person who likes to investigate.
Olivia and I said our left Frankie’s and I walked home. It was only like 4 blocks until my house, and Olivia’s house is 3 blocks. So we walked together but she was talking to her Mom on the phone so I just kept quiet.
I was looking at the ground when I saw a piece of paper on the side, I picked it up and it said:
I have a plan. Meet me at Scottsdale at 8:30, Sharp.
That message was pretty mysterious, so I kept it in my pocket. I was thinking it was one of the members of the “Shadow Keepers” who sent that message to their members because Scottsdale is the darkest avenue and some people are even afraid to go to it, So I don’t even think why someone would meet up there for some meeting. I couldn’t wait until I got home.
”See ya tomorrow, Violet.” Olivia said.
“See ya!” I replied.
I kissed my Mom when I got home and immediately ran to my bedroom, logged in, and went up and searched on Google:
Shadow Keepers
I was shocked at the results and images, You wouldn’t believe what I saw.
There were pictures of 6 people, I guess they were in the group. 4 girls and 2 boys.
When I looked closely at the picture, I saw a girl that looked familiar to me. Her name was Sonia Sauron. She goes to my school, West Riverboard Elementary. She has dark ultraviolet hair with grey highlights. She doesn’t sit with anyone at lunch, she’s really mysterious more like emo or gothic.
I searched more on the members, and here were their names:
Raven Vossler
Ebony Sebastian
Damien Dasthero
Arthemis Diablo
Nero Godebles
I even considered they’re names evil ones. I was getting scared so I just decided to log off and just go to sleep, I hope I won’t have bad dreams.
The next morning I took a bath, dressed up and went down to the table. I saw Mom cooking bacon and eggs, while dad was reading the “Nashville Newspaper”.
“Good Morning, Mom & Dad!” I shouted.
“Morning dear” Mom said.
“Good morning” Dad said, coughing.
“Are you alright dad?” I asked
“I just have a little *cough* cold” He said
“Ok… I’m going to school now byeee”
I slammed the door shut and walked down Ivory Avenue to where the bus stop is. Olivia is always picked up before my street. So when the bus came, she was sooo excited to see me.
“My parents got me a new iPhone!” She shouted joyfully
“Why am I not surprised?” I said, rolling my eyes.
“What, you think my parents spoil me?!” She said
“No. I’m just joking ;D” I replied XD
“Ok :DD” She said.
When we went to class, Mr. Stevenson gave us our assignments for our group projects, for the semester. And I knew what was gonna happen next. Olivia, Sonia and I were the only people who hadn’t been called yet to be in the same group, and I’m freaking out on what he was gonna do next.
“Violet, you wouldn’t mind to have Sonia in your group, right?” He asked
ALRIGHT. There it is! I knew he would say that. But of course I could never disrespect a teacher so I just had to sigh and deal with it.
“I wouldn’t mind, Sir” I said, hesitatingly.
Olivia and I stared at each other in a “not so much good look”, but Sonia was just looking at the floor, with a blank face. I really want to know what’s going on with her.
