Chapter 1 - Home

*This whole thing is gonna be in Jake's POV*

(Also, Jake is Trans in my AU.)

*I sat there on the floor, crying. God, what have I done?...How did they even get that recording..?..Doesn't matter. I believe it's best if I just avoid everyone.*

*I got up and just silently went to my locker. Drew and the others were seen talking but I say nothing. I open my locker and grab my bag. I close my locker and start to leave but Drew taps my shoulder.*

Drew:"Hey, you alright?

"I'm fine." *I lied.*

Drew: "Okay...are you still gonna hang with us later?"

"...no."

Drew: "What? Why? Are you gonna go hang with those fre-"

"I got kicked out of the club!"

*I slightly snapped at  him. After I say that I just walk out. I had class but Hailey was in my next class. I decided to just...skip my last classes. I wasn't in the mood. Plus, who knows what would happen if I tried talking to her.*

*"Heck, Hailey can't even sing without me because of her stupid STAGE FIRGHT!"*

*"I wouldn't be a MUSIC FREAK!"*

...why won't it stop.

*"They should be GRATEFUL that I joined them in the first place!"*

WHY WON'T IT STOP? I don't want to remember this moment.....ever...

*I arrived home and avoided my parents and brother. I  tried crying myself to sleep until my mom opened the door*

Mom: "You better have a good reason to why you're home early, young man."

*I didn't respond as my mom noticed me crying.*

Mom: "Wha- Honey did something happen??"

*I sat up. not even looking at my mom.*

"I'm a horrible person...."

*I mumbled.*

Mom: "What was that?"

*I suddenly turned to my mom.*

"I SAID I'M A HORRIBLE PERSON!"

*I snapped, making My mother jump.*

Mom: "No you're not.."

"Yes I am..I trashed talked the music club and now I got kicked out!"

Mom: "...Why would you do that? Didn't you say you saw them as family?"

*I sigh.*

 "I still do...I was at Drew's place the other day. They were trying to make me believe that The club was using me..I sorta...snapped?....And I just said things....Things they WANTED me to say..."

Mom: "Jake..."

"Yes?"

Mom: "That's manipulation."

"Wha-"

Mom: "And..your friend Hailey was right. they are toxic. She told me about it after you suggested a duet."

"Oh."

*My mother put her hands on my shoulders.*

Mom: "Listen to me. If you want to keep the club as your friends your going to have to cut contact with Drew and the others. Sometimes, you just have to let people go."

"But..they've been my friends for so long...they helped me.."

Mom: "It doesn't matter how long you've been friends. They're still toxic. You said you bullied the music club before, correct?"

"Yes.."

Mom: "That was not helping.  They just made you feel like Music was a terrible thing. Same with your old bullies."

*I had nothing to say. My Mother sighs*

 Mom: "You can rest for now but you're still going to school tomorrow. Understood?"

"Understood."

Mom: "Good. Now, take your binder off. You're not supposed to sleep in it, remember?"

"Yeah, yeah, I remember.."

*I groaned.*

Mom: "I Love you, my son."

"I love you too mom..."
