chapter one: discovery

today was the biggest party jay was hosting. i mean, everyone was invited. i was so excited the whole day, i couldn't focus on my school work!

jay always had parties at his house, honestly. i guess his parents really didn't mind.

after the school was over, i rushed home. i'd have to get ready for it, i wanted to look good.

i opened my door and threw my shoes off. i almost dashed to the stairs when-

"ri-ki nishimura.", my mom said.

i stopped dead in my tracks. fuck.

"you think i wouldn't find out? you're not going to that party."

"w-what?! mom, please! i kept my grades up and all my homework is done!", i beg

she crosses her arms and shakes her head.

"you've been to many of parties. jay will throw another one."

i kept begging and begging but i got the same answer each time... i felt like crying. why would my mom randomly tell me no now?! she always lets me go!

i run up the stairs and slam my door behind me. i could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.

everyone was going to be there and i couldn't go...

i grab my phone and texted jay.

NI-KI:
hey, jay. sorry, i can't
make it..

JAY:
wait, why?

you were so hyped for
this one?

NI-KI:
my mom won't let
me go.

JAY:
just ask jake to help
you sneak out.

NI-KI:
i forgot about that!

i'll be there, jay.

JAY:
cya.

i quickly got my outfit ready so my mom wouldn't know. jake usually helps me sneak out when my mom does this. we're always back home on time.

i texted jake and now i'd have to wait it out. i acted like i was studying so my mom wouldn't get suspicious of me.

TIME SKIP

my mom was sleep and i was getting ready for the party. jake should be here in a few.

good, everything is going as i planned.

luckily, i slept down stairs so i could just go through the window.

a few minutes later, i heard knocks on my window. i look at my window and it's jake.

i quietly lift up the window and smile.

"jake!"

jake smiles back before speaking.

"let's hurry, we don't want to be late.", he said.

i nod and start to climb out my window. i felt hands grab onto my waist, stabilizing me.

randomly, i felt butterflies in my stomach. i felt really nervous and awkward. why?

"alright, ready?"

i nod and close my window a little from the outside. then, we run off.

yes! i'd be going to jay's party! i wouldn't want to miss this.

jake grabbed my wrist, and run with me.

i felt my heart skip a beat.

why do i feel like this...
