Trigger warning.
I couldn't get my mind off of going home to see my wife Anna. It's 5:00 and I get off of work at 6:00. Anna and I have been happily married for over 3 years and everything she does fills my mind every day while I'm at work. I wish that I could stay home with her every day instead of having to go to work. I love her with all of my heart and I don't know what I would do without her. I play around with the pens on my desk as I wait for the work day to be over.
An hour passes and I hurry to get home. What I saw at my house, was something I never wanted to see. I saw police cruisers outside of my house and yellow police tape was surrounding my front yard. I asked a person who was standing there on the curb what happened.
"Cops said there was a murder in this house." the lady said. I began to panic because I knew that nobody lived in my house other than Anna and me. I bolted for the front yard, ignoring the people yelling at me to get back. I dodged all of the yellow tape and made it into my house. I saw a dead body on the floor and knew immediately that it was Anna. I began to cry as I fell to the floor. A police man tried to pick me up but I stood my ground. He eventually gave up and went back to his job.
When they finished cleaning up everything and left, I stood up and went into mine and what used to be Anna's bedroom. I went to my nightstand and opened up one of the drawers. I found what I was looking for and picked it up. It was my revolver. I checked to see if there was any bullets in it and there were. I began to cry again as I put the gun to my head.
I can't live without you Anna. I'll see you soon, love.
The sound of a gunshot was heard throughout the neighborhood after I pulled the trigger.
