You hear the pained scream of your name from your parents as you play back that moment in your dream. The house was on fire. You wanted to wake up so badly. You hated this damn town but you had no where's to go, so you stayed ,but you killed anyone who got near you.
The thoughts you had in your dream kept switching back to the way you thought now and back then. Finally you wake up all sweaty and run your fingers through your (h/c) hair with red highlights.
"Dammit why...why am I here anyways ? Why can't I just die already ?!"
You always questioned why you even lived after all the horrible things you have done. "Why am I here ?" One of the questions you would ask yourself since you were 5 would finally be answered the next day on your 16th birthday.
"I'll go back to bed,tsk who am I even talking too it's not like anyone is here I am alone and that's what I deserve "
"OI ANYONE HOME "
You heard A male voice awaken you from the door. Followed by a female voice.
"LUFFY, shut up no one is here those rumors were probably fake" a female voice stated.
"Y-Y-Yeah rumors see Luffy , there isn't a she demon here can we go now " sounded another cowardly male voice .
You rolled off your bed pissed you just wanted to sleep off to death. You grabbed your gun and coat .
"What the fuck is it now?! " you said shooting a bullet through the door .
Surprisingly you heard no screams of pain only foot steps running away and the female voice.
" EEK We're going back to the ship Captain see ya "
You couldn't clearly hear the female's comment . Either way you unlocked the door slowly and opened the door expecting to see your poor victim on the ground .
" Hey that wasn't very nice " The young boy in the straw hat pouted .
"Dammit how I thought I shot ya " you said with widened eyes but then gritted your teeth in anger and clutched the gun beside your back.
"Haha, that does work on me I'm a rubber man " he said stretching out his cheek
" devil fruit ? "
"Yep"
"Why do you speak so fucking friendly with me you know I could kill you now " you said drawing out your gun and firmly gripping it with both hands as your
(h/l) (h/c) red streaked hair waved behind you with your actions.
Suddenly the boy's face darkened and your heart skipped a beat at the sudden reaction of your words and you hands started to shake .
" you know guns are made for action not for empty threats , also if you really wanted to kill me you would have shot square in the middle of the door not near the top of the door " the boy says firmly grabbing one of your wrists as your other hand drops and you let go of the gun and let it drop to the ground .
The boy then let's go and back away a little .
" good"
Your wobbling knees drop down to the ground as you look Down beginning to cry .
" dammit now what ? Why ? " for once in your life you felt scared to die
"Now what are you going to kill me " you ask closing your eyes
"No, I want you to be a part of my pirate crew" the boy now held out a hand to you and he wore a foofy grin on his face
"Why ? Why are you being nice to me I tried to kill you" you said lifting up your face to him
"I hear the rumors about you I heard you were strong , and I know you have good heart and from this I know all those bad rumors are lies don't you wanna leave those lies " the boy still smiled brightly with his straw hat shading the sun from your face .
Your mind had finally seen a patch of light . Here you are a totally freak ,killer, psychopath and his guy offered you to be free as a pirate with him . He must be nuts you thought . He wasn't afraid of you he smiled at you and even after you tried to kill him . You thought for once not "why am I here?" You thought "why is he here ?"
" Whats your name ? "you managed to say back as a reply.
"Monkey D. Luffy , future king of the Pirates
"King of the Pirates eh " you whispered to yourself.
You now saw that this boy named Luffy would be the one to lead the Pirates into a new era. You knew it and you had the chance to start to live and experience this new era .
"(Y/n) (l/n) ok then why the hell not" you said taking his hand .
"Haha ok (y/n) lets go " he said smileing.
That was all You needed to step In the light and change .
"Ok I guess" you said back smiling a little

Reader- chan's POV
When I entered on the ship and I saw a green haired guy, a girl with orange hair, um reindeer I think , a guy with heart eyes and curly eyebrows , a guy with a long nose ,and a girl with blue eyes and black hair.
After we all introduced each other and set sail I relaxed on this ship called the going merry . This was the first time I smiled since I was 4 . The captain sat on the head of the ship and I leaned on the railing smiling .
" Luffy why am I here ?" I asked that question I once dreaded
"Hm it's because I like you (y/n) and I need you haha " he said with his goofy grin
I blushed a little and smiled than whispered
"..thank you .. For giving me a meaning to life "
