ON THE ROAD

BELLE

"Where are we going?" Belle asked her boyfriend who was driving smoothly in the city. The nightlife was booming as people enter Hawker centers to eat Singaporean food, a fusion of Asian cuisine. She also sees groups of people younger and around the same age enter nightclubs.

"Are you kidnapping me or what?" She joke. Seth lets out a laugh and gently grab her left hand and kissed its dorsal area. "It's a surprise," He said.

"It better be a nice one, Pluto warned you to bring me back home," She told him.

"I asked permission from your parents and also him to spend the night with me and others..." He told her.

"How do you ask a dog something?" She asked him.

"While you went to the restroom, I called your mom and Pluto and asked permission to bring you somewhere safe for a surprise and return you back in the morning. I made a special request to add him to the call and he just barked. They agreed, then I called your dad. Which he also agreed." He explained to her.

"I don't have extra clothes," She pointed out to him.

"It's okay, I'll return you back safely in the morning. Like always when we go clubbing," Seth said, remembering the memories made when they went out in exclusive and prestigious nightclubs around the world with their friends.

The most memorable one on the list was in Ibiza, Spain. That weekend was super wild. They call it the Ibiza Incident. 

Seth continued driving smoothly until they arrived at a tall condo building, one out of fifteen he owned across Singapore. Why so many condos? An investment and also rooms where he can put some of his collection such as shoes, watches, games, and airplane models. And it's also convenient when hosting parties with his friends. 

He stopped the car by the entrance, get out of his seat and opened Belle's door, and escorted her to the building. He also gave the keys to the valet. She has been here before for several times. This unit has a great movie room that he installed. Sure, they do have a movie room back at the mansion. But his mom pestering him and opening up the door unannounced makes it uncomfortable for them to hug and cuddle close. 

Upon reaching the elevator and pressing the 16th floor. Seth pulls out a black silk cloth from his pocket and looks at her. She looks at him weirdly.

"Look if we're gonna have blindfold sex-" She says.

"We're not going to have sex, babe," He told her and let out a laugh.

'What a shame, I won't mind' She thinks internally.

"What's that for?" She asked.

"A surprise," He told her. "May I?" He asked permission and she nodded.

He wrapped the silk around her head, being careful and trying not to smudge her make-up and mess up her hair.

"How do I look?" She asked him. He gave her a forehead peck and answered "You look cute," Then the elevator dinged, telling them, they have reached their floor.

He escorted her carefully as she moved slower because she has no vision because of the cloth. Seth patiently guided her to his condo unit. Opening it with a card but the lights still remained off.

"Don't you dare do something that might make it into Singapore headlines and lose my part of the family fortune," Belle joked at him while he guided her to a space. Maybe his living room from the carpet texture she feels on her heels.
