What exactly are humans? If I were to ask that question to regular individuals, the majority would reply by saying 'Living creatures' or 'Animals with higher intelligence'. I mean, sure, those both are correct. However, if you delve deeper, there are many mysteries we've yet to grasp fully. Such as what's the point of life? What is our purpose? What reason were we brought to life? Even I, Ash Ketchum, have trouble understanding.
I turn to stare at the scenery. Waiting for a long time made me think of profound thoughts. Dark blue waves imitate the appearance of small mountains as they swiftly move in uniform, swaying from right to left. The ship then began to shake harder. Most people proceeded to grab onto the nearest pole to retain their balance. Slowly a massive island, the size well surpasses two suburbs laying side to side, begins to take shape amidst the fog.
Kalos Institute of Success or KIS for short. A distinguished high school of which not much is known except that people with a good reputation and high academics and physical attributes are allowed entry to this educational institute. The academy also has a strict acceptance rate of 8.5%. It's also good to point out that it is completely isolated from the rest of the Kalos region.
It was not long before we had set foot in the high school where people would most likely continue to study for three years unless unforeseen incidents occurred, such as getting expelled or dropping out. As I scanned the environment, I realised that KIS had been equipped with malls, restaurants and other services, which was quite unusual since people would be returning home every day. When everyone had departed the ferry, it began to leave immediately. It then dawned on me (get it, Dawn and dawned? ik I'm comedy); we weren't going to leave any time soon.
Before we began our trip to KIS, students had been emailed their classrooms and seat numbers. We were advised to head straight to our allocated classroom and await further instructions. This also was unusual to me, as from what I have heard, students usually attend an assembly before being split into classes. Brushing away those thoughts, I had begun my walk toward class 'K-2' which I presume the K stands for Kalos. On the way, I saw a girl picking up her books. I guessed she had accidentally dropped them. I casually walked past her when I heard a soft but demanding voice.
"Hey!" I turned around to see a girl with luscious long blonde hair with a smooth, fair-skinned skin complexion. She looked as beautiful as the Idols I had heard about.
"Huh, what's wrong?"
"Can't you see the poor girl is picking up her stuff, and you just walked right past her," I didn't want to start my school life on the wrong side of people so I decided to tell a small lie.
"Sorry, I didn't see her; I'll help out,"
"Yes, you had seen her," she said, throwing me off. "I saw you stare at her while you walked past."
I sighed; this girl is quite observant from what I've seen. Most people don't even realise my presence.
"I was in deep thought, so I guess my eyes had coincidentally landed on her". I guessed that half-worked, but she still was suspicious of me but decided to let it go. I began to walk back and help her. After the mess had been cleaned, the girl who dropped her belongings thanked the blonde girl and me and walked away, I assume in embarrassment. Finally, I could return to walking toward my primary destination. Whilst walking, I felt a presence behind me. I took a glance, and bingo, I was right. The blonde-haired girl was following me. She probably was in the same class as me. As I entered the room, I was welcomed by multiple rowdy students mucking about. It seems most have already formed bonds with one another. I searched for my seat and eventually found it. (It wasn't very hard as it was one of the two only seats remaining).
