"This is my daughter Collina, and my name is, well my name isn't important, not that I remember it anyway. What is important is the injustices that fell upon us. This is the tale of these injustices"

"It was just me and my daughter, all alone and struggling to get by, ever since her father, my husband, was murdered in cold blood returning from work one night. Times were hard, but we managed to get by. Me and Collina would clean and look after the children in the house we worked at, we got by with the pay, enough to be able to get food each day. We were rushing to our small home one day in the pouring rain and somehow we managed to get ourselves completely lost and without a way back that didn't result in us getting even more lost than we already were. I noticed Collina was shivering, I wasn't surprised though, her short, light blond hair was soaked and all she was wearing was a simple plain brown dress that barely passed her knees. Only then did I realise I was still wearing the apron over my long pink dress that I wore to work. I raised a hand and noticed I was also still wearing the white cap, even though my shoulder length light brown hair was still soaked it helped keep me warm. We continued to walk down the path we had found ourselves on until we saw a light through the trees. We eventually emerged out from the forest, to realise that we had wandered into the garden of a mansion that seemed to take up more space than any building we had ever seen. We hurried to the door, hoping for hospitality from the owner of the magnificent building we had stumbled upon. A beautiful woman in a green maid's outfit answered the door and introduced herself as Maria. Her darker brown hair bounced slightly as she lead us inside, down a maze of hallways and staircases until she brought us to a room that she said we could wait out the storm in. She also told us that the mansion belonged to Dr Alfred Drevis and his daughter Aya, whose wife died less than a month ago, and that he would be down here soon for us. I didn't know what she meant by the last bit but I felt incredibly sorry for him, knowing what it felt like to loose a life partner as well. The room was pretty plain, with a rather scratchy bed, a small table that was heavily scratched and an empty barrel that Collina spent a few moments investigating before Maria returned with two bowls of what appeared to be a thick porridge for us to eat. It wasn't all that nice but it was the biggest meal we had eaten lol week so we ate it quickly, relishing in every bit we had. I'm not sure how long we were down there, it seemed like over two hours at least, but we managed to entertain ourselves by playing simple games like paddy cake and similar games that didn't require too much space or time. Eventually, however, Maria returned and said Dr Drevis needed us and that we were to follow her. We went through another maze of hallways and staircases until we reached a door that she stopped in front of, Maria put her hand on Collina's back and began to lead her inside, leaving me. I remember how she called out to me to help her and I tried. Oh goodness I tried! Soon Maria returned and the door was closed, leaving just the two of us in the grey, dreary, stone hallway. I saw a large pol of rocks near on of the other doors further down the hallway that stood out from the rest of the hallway because of how brown they were, I was going to ask what was happening and why I was separated from my daughter just as I heard her distressed, pained cried muffled by the door between us. She screamed out for me and I shouted back to her, I turned to Maria and grabbed her by the collar of her dress and pleaded "Give her back! Give my daughter back!" I pounded on the door with both my fists trying to get it, Maria tried to calm me down by patting my back, which made me madder than I was already, my immediate reaction was so slap her across the face before I continued to hit the door. She pulled me away and I tried to fight back, she ran a bit further down the hallway before returning with something behind her back. Again I tried to fight my way into the room, not realising that the room I was trying to enter had fallen deadly silent. Again Maria pulled me away, struggling and fighting back until I saw her raise one of the rocks I saw above her head and brought it down swiftly to the top of my head. In that second everything fell away, leaving me in darkness. Blinking my eyes open and sitting up I winced as a sudden pain shot through my head, I put a hand up to it and felt it was wet. I drew my hand away and saw the crimson liquid was my own blood. I looked around me and saw many people I didn't recognise who were covered in injuries of varying severity. I realise Collina was not by my side and began to call out to her and the others "Collina? Collina where are you? Where is my daughter? Collina?" But no matter what I said it was all in vain. Another woman appeared before me and asked me to direct her daughter if I saw her, because she was still alive. I was momentarily confused until I realised that what she said meant we were in fact dead. I nodded my head, wincing again as the movements shot more pain through my head."

"Mama?"
"Yes Collina. I am here now. Now you know what happened to us, to my poor daughter, I hope you don't think any different about us, knowing what you now do."
