Pari
There was always something unique about the two of us. A bond that we knew should be carried on further. A bond that should never be left alone...
Ian
The two of us, I would love to say, we were magical. And that we would always pursue to be until this world reaches an end.
Part I ~ When they met
Pari
It was the first day of my 1st Grade in Moonrise International School. I wore my tiny green frock, my hair plaited into two and my eyes blinking hard.
The teacher, unfortunately, wanted all the children in our class to int- int- something, tell our names and all. Oh yes! She wanted us to in-tro-dyuuce ourselves. There was this boy who sat beside me, because he had come late. And there wasn't any place left in the class. He came and sat down. His bag had Spiderman on it. I had a better one, one of Snow White's!
He was timid and well- tiny and had round-round hair. I was definitely taller. Of course, I am tall. He stared at me when we stood up for the assembly. I stared back harder. I decided to talk to him in lunch break 'cause my mommy says, 'One should not be afraid to speak uppp,"
I shifted closer to him and I asked, "What was your name?"
"Ian" his voice was barely – umm...hearable? I couldn't really hear, I mean.
"Meaning?" I asked as I lifted my eyebrows.
"God is gracious," His voice became a little proud.
"Gracious, meaning?"
"I- I don't -know. I'll ask daddy and tell you", he said with a little bit of fright and innocence.
I nodded as my plaits jingled.
He was shy. Super shy.
"Your...na-ame?"
"I am Pari," I said and reached out for a handshake.
He didn't shake it. How so- mannerless or wait, was the word 'ill-mannered'? Mommy had told me, I forgot. How bad of me!
"Pari meaning fairy, like the tooth fairy?"
"Yes, like the tooth fairy. Has she met you, ever?" I asked as my eyes brightened up.
"Nooo, but my granny says she meet me if I be a good child and do homework,"
