As I ran through the woods during my daily run, I could feel the West Virginia country wind blowing through my pure white wolf's hair. As I finally come upon my destination, a single weeping willow in the middle of an open field.
I shifted I'm not what you would call "hot" but with my red hair and piercing green eyes I'm not an ugly girl, I'm actually pretty. I have long legs and a good figure ,but I don't wear clothes that show off my figure because I'm only gonna show my body to my mate.
I then pulled out a book I had hidden in one of the branches "The Fault In Our Starts". I had been reading this book for a whole week because whenever I got to a sad moment in the book I would stop because I had to processes what had happened, I do that with all my books. My friends thinks it's really strange, but I think it's completely normal.
Everybody in my family is a werewolf. I have a big brother who lives in Carolina with his mate and their two children they had come home last year to get married then went back home and had twins. My mother and Father met when they were twenty-two and gotten married when they were twenty-three. I had always asked the moon-goddess too give me a mate as sweet as my father.
The moon-goddess is the werewolves' equivalent of a god. She is the one how graces us with the opportunity to have a mate. A mate is a human equivalent to a soulmate. They are a werewolf's "other half". There scent stands out and is basically the best scent you'll ever smell ,and as soon as you meet your mate your wolves connect and then can feel if they mate with another wolf or human. But mating with someone other than your mate is hugely frown upon in the werewolf community. When your mate mates with another, you feel a piercing feeling running through your heart. Only another male wolf can release the pain and become your new mate.
I jump as the song "Fergalicious" by Fergie rips through the silent field I instantly know it's my best friend Elena Brooks. I instantly answer.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEXI!!Come to my house ASAP! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!!!!" She screamed through the phone then hung up. WTF I think as I shove the book back in its little hole in the tree and shifted.
Yes, it's my sixteenth birthday the day I can finally smell my mates scent or when we touch sparks fly everywhere.
I finally reach Elena's house she opened the door. Elena is what guys would call "hot" she has jet black hair and blazing blue eyes she has a slim waist and big hips and she has no problems with showing some skin.
"We're going to the mall!" She told me as we walked out the door.
"Ummm ok.." I said as she walked outside and lead me to her black mustang.
There was an awkward silence till the song "Here's To Us" by Hailstorm came on and we started singing.

"Why are we here?" I questioned.
"We are going to buy clothes." She replied.
"Why though?" I asked starting to get frustrated.
"We are going to a party tonight!" She said
