As the Elder stood over the ceremonial burial site where she had Alria placed, she knew that she had chosen the right people for the job, though it hurt her to know that soon her mate would know she was gone, just like it would when her brother's heart would shatter as well. The Elder only wished that Adarius had heart enough to care and understand that the woman in the ceremonial urn in front of her was his baby sister.

Reid had the guilt the moment Sage had knocked him on his ass, he couldn't help that he blamed his little sister at first, then again he was also feeling his own anger as well. With his eyes closed he listened to the ragged breathing of his younger sister, one of the people he should have protected. That was until an uncomfortable pain shot through his body, it began in his chest, then started to spread through his entire form. At first it had reminded him of when he was first turned. A shriek of pain slipped from his lips just as they reached Serabil, the scream nearly caused Sage to crash into one of the parked cars outside of the building. At first everyone had feared that someone had attacked them, until Reid slouched forward and passed out but not before he whispered two words.

"She's gone."

As soon as the words had left his words, Myla, Ryln and Sage all glanced down at Stormy with a look of fear in their eyes. Sage's first thoughts were of her brother and Onyx and the pain they would feel from the death of their mate. When the trio saw that she still drew breath a sigh of relief had left their lips. As Sage turned to look at Reid, she replayed her last thoughts over in her mind, she shook her head trying to keep the unshed tears from falling.

"No, No it can't be true. This will crush Stormy when she wakes up." Sage cried; her hands tightened around the steering wheel. An almost audible crush could be heard from the front seat.

Ryln and Myla were confused at first as they shared a look that was until their little captive peeked up from behind the back seat. Jas's eyes held worry for the young female in the front seat. He may have been placed there to spy on them, but he really hadn't wanted anyone to get hurt.

"If I were you." Ryln spoke up as he glared at the male.

"I wouldn't let her see you with whatever is happening now we clear?" Myla added for her mate as she moved away from Stormy and peaked around the edge of the driver seat. "Sage, sweetie what's wrong? Do you know what just happened with Reid?" She coaxed the young female as she left Stormy with Ryln. With Alria missing she needed a new guard, and her mate was the one she trusted most.

Sage nodded her head as she glanced up at one of the people she trusted the most with her life after her family. Her lashes were wet with the few tears that had managed to slip from her eyes, the streaks that they left behind on her cheeks showed that she had quickly tried to wipe them away before anyone could see. While Myla waited for Sage to give her an answer she checked on Reid, his breathing erratic, his body trembled with each breath he took. It was like he was fighting but what it was Myla had no clue.

"My mother experienced it once, but she had us, that he was like Jas a traitor." Sage whispered to the others. "Reid's mate is dead, Alria died." She cringed at the thought of what Reid was fighting in his heart.

"Wait, I thought you were human when you were changed?" Jas spoke up as he tugged his restraints.

"You know you really are as dumb as you act sometimes." Ryln grumbled.

"Skye and Stormy are twins; Sage is one of the hybrid siblings the false king you so loyally sold us out was looking for." Myla growled as she ushered Sage from the driver seat. "You got Alria killed, so I pray when we find there." She paused as she pointed to Stormy, Sage and then Reid. "Siblings and mates that you will surely see what vengeance is like. Of course, that is if the rebellion lets you live.
