"Is this really necessary?" she rolled her eyes as she dragged her feet through the hallways behind envy.

"You are aware that I have more important things to do with my time than sparring right? So, yes this is necessary."

She watched as Envy shifted into an intimidating attack position. The golden light of the sun draping over him like the finest silk, highlighting the soft lines and contrasting the hard edges.

"I simply want you to have the necessary skills at your disposal in case a situation ever arises in which I am not present or able to protect you." Each word was bitten off in annoyance – sharp and short. "Even if that situation never arises."

"If such a situation will never arise, why are you wasting my time and energy going through this charade. "

"And what is that very important task that you plan to invest all this time and energy in?"

She didn't have a rebuttal to that, so she tried to divert his attention from it.

"If you're truly going to be as diligent as you say you will be concerning my personal safety, I don't understand why I have to engage in this" she says remnants of disgust lingering on her lips.

And oh, so badly did Envy want to lick it off.

"Because" Envy said his voice lower, eyes glinted with mischief "One day, when you do something extremely stupid- "

"I never do things that are extremely stupid." Urvi snapped back, her own temper flaring, stung by the baseless accusation and assault on his intelligence. She obviously never made mistakes. [And that was perhaps her biggest mistake (read in wise old chief Seattle voice)]

"As you say~" he said in the singsong tone. She glared at Envy with all the wrath (ha-ha) she could manage but she had a suspicion that it had no effect on him. Envy has seen things here that would drive people insane, in a bad way.

"I still believe that your learning a few basic self-defense moves would be useful...even though I will unfailingly defend and protect you to the best of my abilities," He held up a finger expertly silencing her counter argument. "Because this is MY realm and since you will never do anything extremely stupid..."

Right now, she really, really hated Envy as much as she hated sweat. Uhhh gross. But Envy's point had been made.

"Fine then, let's get this over with. Quickly" she said copying his position (moon emoji) albeit sloppily.

Envy bowed mockingly, a triumphant smirk playing on his lips.

"As you wish, princess."

O gods, o gods, oh gods....

She thought she was going to die. But the man who had viciously stolen the air from her lungs was standing there blissfully unaware of the mess he had made...in her panties.

"Alright, hold your arms like this, position your hand up... no, higher..."

This had been a mistake.

For her to have been so confident earlier that she never made mistakes, she had been slow to realize that this was a terrible, dreadful, horrifying mistake.

Stupid. She was so stupid.

"Let me show you. See? If you hold your hands like this, you can throw your attacker off- balance. I'll take you through the motions..."
