Y/n's POV
Dragging my feet along the dreary pavement, I steadily approached my school building. Or as I like to call it, 'The building of doom.'
You may believe me to be overly-dramatic, but all I ever learn in a day is how many m&m's I can eat without my chemistry lecturer noticing, or how many times I can make fart noises without my English teacher realising it was me (Which is usually between 0 and 1).
You may also believe me to be immature, but the truth is, I've always found it hard to focus in class and the the lecturers always talk way too fast! I couldn't understand a thing even if I tried!
I think I'll drop out.
Yeah.
Things would be so much easier.
People keep asking me where I wish to go in life, but honestly, I'm 18 years old and haven't got a flying clue!
God damn it, teachers always inform me of my worthlessness but I've always believed I'd make it somewhere.
Perhaps I'll become a stripper. I have some good connections and I heard they make hella cash!
My thoughts were soon Interrupted by none other than my best friend, Mai. She's in my year, design major. We are absolutely nothing alike, she has her WHOLE LIFE planned put. She's doing 2 years in textiles, then heading to New york to be in the fashion industry, she plans to marry a rich business woman and settle down with a house full of kids.
Honestly, I look up to her.
"What do you want, Mai?" I grudge out, holding my head which is throbbing from the alcohol I consumed last night.
"Why hello to you too, my big ball of sunshine!" She replies giddily, opening her arms.
Feigning annoyance, I try to hide my smile as I charge into her arms, almost knocking her over in the process. Letting out a hearty laugh, she holds me close rocking back and forth.
Reaching into her bag, she pulls out a couple advil tablets and a cold bottle of water, not to mention a slice of chocolate brownie.
"Oh my love! Whatever would i do without you!" I exclaim, spinning her around.
"Put me down, you big goof! And finish those before you drop them all."
She points to the 2 remaining advil I'm my hand, and the crushed one on the floor.
"Oops."
I down them in one go, along with half of the water, instantly feeling better.
"How many lessons are you planning to ditch today? You've only got 2."
You sigh, gently massaging your temples.
"I'll go to the first one, I enjoy biology. Probably will ditch English though."
"Can't blame you, why on earth would you take English?"
"I got excited, I don't know. I also wanted to keep my options open."
"Fair enough."
I walked her to her class as we gossiped about parties happening soon.
We said our goodbyes and parted ways, as I headed to my first class of the day. I didn't inform Mai of this, but the reason I never skipped biology was because our class rep, Tenya Iida was there. I admired him. His looks, his grades, his background. Everything about him was just so perfect. I swear God made sure to angle his face justttttt right and have his glasses fit right upon his nose just to tease me! I realise that it's pretty cliché of me to have a crush on the good boy, the person with top grades in this school, while I am at the very bottom of the pack.
I'm not dumb, as per say, I just do not care enough.
I think the teachers have caught on to me to be honest.
It all started with biology.
He made me wish to try. Wish to succeed.
My biology scores were significantly higher than the rest of mine. Last exams, my grades fell into the top 50, instead of 200.
The principle of the school has had many discussions with me (mainly because I'm in trouble) but OCCASIONALLY he talks to me about future jobs and my wasted potential. All that crap.
I think Adam has discussed with him (Adam is my biology lecturer) about the way I gaze at Tenya. I had a meeting with him yesterday. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact I had been caught smoking on campus...
*cough*
Anywayyyyy...
He was trying to act all mysterious, whilst I was trying not to laugh. I'm sure he's done something, but who knows what that man is thinking.
I walked into the lecturing theatre and sat down in my regular seat at the back of the room.
A few moments passed and I watched as Tenya Iida himself walked through the doors.
"Goodmorning Tenya!"
I greeted happily."Oh, goodmorning L/n..."
Ah, you see, I forgot to inform you that we do not have the best relationship. He always finds something to scold me about.
"Don't you believe that calling others by their first names without their permission is rude!?" He questioned, whilst moving his arm almost robotically.
I ignored this and he sighed.
"How was your weekend, Tenya?"
"It was fine, how was yours?"
"Great, I went to Bakugo's party, you should've been there! It was sick!"
"No thank you, I was studying for our summer exams."
You sweatdropped, both of you knowing full well that it April.
You opened your mouth to speak, but before any words came out, he was already walking towards his seat at the front of the hall.
Smiling sweetly to yourself, you sat back down.
You knew he was fully aware of your little crush, he's oblivious to a lot of things, but admittedly, you were veryyyy obvious.
You took your fair share if notes in the lesson, actually learning a thing or two.
"I think he's put a spell on me," You mumble, silently chuckling at your own joke.
You felt eyes on you as you began to write again, you could feel that they held a lot of curiosity and a smidge of amusement.
Expecting to see one of your flings or teacher, it was a large surprise to look up and meet the eyes of him.
