I Won't Give Up On You

Maybe more than friends...

Finally I got out of Pj's and slipped into something that was not sweatpants. I was running around my house to get all the stuff I needed so that I can get there before Ashner. I skipped breakfast and the bus and started sprinting to school. I'm pretty sure I got a lot of eyebrow raises and eye squints from passengers in almost every car that passed by me.

I got to campus and plopped down on the bench next to the main door. I waited there for five minutes before a new Blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck came riding into the school parking lot. By now I see Ashner stepping out of the truck. He's wearing new sneakers a button down plaid shirt with dark blue denim jeans. I thought to myself " Oh my god he is just...Wow he's not like most guys" I wisper to myself. He walked up to me and said"Hi Avalon I was thinking about you all morning" he said to me. "Not as much as me" I said flirty like. We walked into school and started heading to our first class. I walked into the smallest classroom in the school that said Science on the door. I sat down in the chair next to the science counter. Ashner sat next to me. My stomache started beating with butterflies because this is the first time I have seen Ashner since 7th grade and he looks a lot different. He got rid of the braces ,cut his hair, and wore something that was not star wars. He still acts the same though goofy and now to me he is romantic. The teacher started walking into the room and said that those were our permadent seats for the rest of the year. " YES!" I said in my head which I'm surprised I even didn't almost blurt it out by accident.

After I barely survived the rest of my periods I headed to lunch. I waited in line like usual and sat down at the empty table. I'm not considered popular I'm just average(just to let you know). Ashner got his lunch and sat next to me. We spent the whole time at lunch goofing around. When the bell rang I knew this was the last time I'll see him today. So I gave him my phone number and e said our goodbyes. "I don't want to say goodbye I'll miss you to much" he said. I started blushing. " I don't want to say good bye either maybe we could walk together to school tomorrow though?" I asked. " That sounds perfect" he said. As I was about to leave he wrapped his arms around my waist and gave me a hug, I wrapped my arms around his neck. It was short but sweet. "Bye" I said feeling like there was no gravity. He have me a smirk "Bye Avalon text me later okay?" he said. "Of course I will". I said leaving the cafateria.
