the girl kept her head low as she stood infront of beomgyu's table. the air in her teacher's office was so thick she could barely breathe. "don't you have anything to say for yourself?",he sighed. "i-i didn't do anything wrong",chaemin guiltily muttered. just when she thought he'd scream at her again , beomgyu did the opposite. he walked towards her , one arm wrapped around her waist and the other placed on her cheek. beomgyu looked into her empty eyes with so much affection, "was it my fault?" he stroked her black wavy hair , tucking a few strands of it behind her ear.
chaemin broke her character, lips quivered as tears build up in her eyes. she didn't want to be known for her bad reputation, she wanted to be the sweet girl she used to be. all she wanted was for choi beomgyu to be back by her side.
"i'm sorry", chaemin waited three years just to hear those words from him. "why! why did you ever leave me!", she cried as tears streamed out of her glassy eyes. chaemin buried her head into his chest , while beomgyu leans down and gave her a peck on the forehead. "i couldn't bare telling you. i know i wouldn't be able to leave if you cried for me to stay." beomgyu's hand slide down chaemin's arm then held her hand , intertwining their fingers.
//FLASHBACK// chaemin's life was perfect with him around , he spoiled her and never fails to protect her in school, when she was 14 when they celebrated beomgyu's graduation...
"gyu,happy graduation!",chaemin hands him a present. "necklace?",beomgyu raised a brow. it was a matching music beam note that could be joined together, "to symbolise the first time we met at the dance machine and when they're connected, it means we belong as one!" beomgyu watched as chaemin brings their necklace together and the symbol made a click sound. the sight of chaemin's innocence was heart wrenching , it was as if she knew beomgyu would leave her the next day. the older nods in guilt and lets out a chuckle, "yeah , i've to brace myself to stick with you my whole life!"
the next morning , chaemin woke up without her best friend and she didn't know why she felt uneasy. to solve the uncertainty, she dialled his number but to not avail. chaemin's heart beat against her chest, 'he must have went out, it's no big deal why am i so scared?' but the next second , the young girl realised her main reliance was gone. all his belongings , his cabinet was empty and even the frame that held their picture together.
she ran back home , asking her mother for any information only to find out beomgyu left without a word. "did i do something wrong? did i mean nothing at all? so worthless, you wouldn't even tell me!", she pathetically scoffed while tears reached the tip of her chin. chaemin unconsciously bit her bottom lips , eyes wondering everywhere for clues as she hugs her knee close to her chest begging for the warmth he took from her.
if he had ever explain to her , contact her even once. she would have accept any excuses and forgive him however he didn't and that made her hate him , she felt as if her childhood was cheated on . from then on, chaemin build a unapproachable image to protect herself when beomgyu wasn't around. //END OF FLASHBACK//
