Soobin sighed as he got off the bus. Something was off with Minjae. He'd seemed so out of it for a while now, distracted by something.
But that wasn't what had made Soobin suspicious - because, hey, everyone has bad days and bad weeks, it's normal!
It was the rumors at campus that had spawned the suspicious thoughts. And the small things in Minjae's actions just added to the mess.
Soon he'd reached the door to the others' apartment and he knocked on the door.
"Hi! Can I come in?"
Minjae looked kind of anxious and he quickly shook his head. "We can talk here! I'm kind of in a hurry, so if we could make this quick that'd be great!"
"Oh... uh, yeah, sure..." Soobin replied as he looked over the others shoulder.
Was that... a flannel? On the couch?
"So? What did you want to talk about?"
"Ah... well, is there something going on with you, Minie?" Soobin said, lightly chewing on his lower lip as he searched for a reaction in Minjae's face. He looked troubled. "What..? No?"
That reply came just a little bit too quickly.
"You can tell me anything, if I'm doing something wrong or if you're going through something, just tell me. I want to be here for you and I just want you to be honest.."
"Baby what are you even talking about?" Minjae carefully put his hands on Soobin's shoulders, and the taller reluctantly let them stay there.
"You've been so... so off for such a long time and I just... I just feel so lost, I never know what's going on with you but right now, I know that something's wrong. Can you please just tell me what's going on?"
This time, the reply took longer. Which gave Soobin time to properly look around in the apartment behind Minjae.
There were two glasses and two plates on the kitchen island, and there was a flannel that definitely wasn't Minjae's on the couch. Just as Soobin's eyes had made their way to another set of sneakers standing by the door Minjae replied.
"Soobin, baby, I honestly don't know what you're talking about! I've been trying to think of what it could be, but I don't know. Of course I'd tell you everything, but there's just n-"
Soobin interrupted him.
"Then just tell me the truth Minjae-ssi. You're... you're seeing someone else, right?"
