Far from any view, in the cold river, the shape of a person emerged from the surface of the now red shaded water, his eyes wide open and his face covered and scars..

his entire body was burning and he might have broken a few bones due to the impact

after stabilizing his breathing and calming down, panic sooner got to him again as he remembered the reason he was in the river.. It was to save him

his so called friend, as he jumped off the bridge and he had to protect him from the impact

he couldn't lose him, he wanted to save him, to live with him, to protect him..

if it weren't for him, he would have lost it..

his eyes started searching the surface of the water, looking for at least a shadow, a sign that his friend was still alive.. He even wanted to dive the deepest he could ,still having some hope, although his injuries didin't give him the chance to, until he spotted a silhouette standing alone on a sort of island like place , he swam closer to have a better view, and immediately started swimming faster and faster as he recognized who it was , even tho his body was screaming from pain, but he didn't care

as he finally got there after what felt like eternity, he put feet on the island, ran up to the other man and immediately ingulfed him in a hug, not wanting to let go, and afraid he might get taken away from him

After a while of them silently hugging, they finally broke apart and looked at each other in the eyes, as blue met red, tho the silent didn't last long as one of them decided to finally break it

"I finally caught you, Liam.."

"Yes you did, Sherly.."

tears started to form in both the men's eyes as laugher soon irrupted between them.

they we're too blinded by their tears and happiness to notice the two bodies on the ground..
