The Dragon Tamer

Chapter 1: Situation

I groaned. “Gahhh! Why are you doing this!?” I growled at the guard. “Shut up the king will decide what we do with you in a minute! Now shut up! And you know the exact reason you are here!” The guard shouted at me. I looked at the bars of the kingdom arena. They started to open slowly and it surprised me. I was lifted up from my knees by the guard. The guard dragged me into the middle of the arena. As soon as I realized my surroundings, the king cleared his throat and announced. “Your punishment shall be a dragon!” He said in a loud voice while glancing at me with a menacing look in his eyes. I looked him straight in the eye, I could tell he thought I was imitating. This was either gonna end badly… or maybe the opposite.

I was able to get some armor. More like barely any armor. In my mind, this seemed unfair, but I guess I will go along with this. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation. Well, I started out with a normal day. Then someone stole my horse. And I stole it back, well not really stealing but taking back. And then the person said to a guard that I had stolen my own horse. And that was the guard I was dragged into hereby. Anyways, now I have to fight a dragon. And what they will do if I win I don’t know, but I know now that I have to put my heart and soul into winning this battle. This isn’t like my other battles with wolves or any other animals. I walk out to see a huge dragon being held down by many chains and only 3 guards holding him down…. This was gonna be fun.

But while the king is giving off his boring speech I will tell you what happened in detail. I walked outside like any day and went to check on my horse Twilight. And the shock on my face explained that something was indeed wrong. Twilight wasn’t in his stall and I hadn’t any more horses. I ran inside, grabbed my coat, put it on, and ran out the door in a rush to find my horse. Luckily, I just saw a bit of his tail across the field.

 I ran towards that way and saw a man lead him into the kingdom. I couldn’t just walk to the guards and say let me in. Well because my family was different, and it was said that anyone who is unusually in the king’s kingdom will be banished and if ever returned they will face a punishment.

 So I waited till night. And when it was, I sneaked up and hit the guard. He passed out, which was really lucky (cause he had armor on and I only used my hand). I crawled under the gate to the kingdom. I heard Twilight whining. I jump up and run towards the sound.

I found Twilight, I ran up to him and hugged him. I jumped on his back and was about to ride away when. Splash!!!! I was tugged into the mud. And now I'm here fighting a dragon. 

The king finished and gave the guards a hand signal… to let the dragon go. Let's see if I can survive this quest.
