"This the right place?" the driver questioned the young girl who has spent most of the ride from the airport regretting not sneaking back on board a plane back to London.
"Yes thank you" the girl mumbled before paying the driver and stepping out of the car.
As I watched the car drive away I puffed out my cheeks then sighing before I grabbed my suitcase and walked up the path on the left hand side of the house I spent most of my life in.
I didn't notice any changes as I unlocked the front door and looked around the main entrance. Still as eerily quiet as the day I left it, not that I was expecting anything different.
I'm already starting to regret this, I should've just stayed in London and spent my summer getting drunk with my friends but no I decided to take a year off and spend it here of all places.
I eventually stopped sulking and made my way up those ridiculous long stairs, "if he's so bloody rich why couldn't he just install a damn elevator" I say in annoyed tone to myself while dragging this stupid suitcase before I just throw my hands up in the air in defeat and watch the suitcase fall back down the stairs, "well I hope that didn't dent the floor".
Heading towards my bedroom door I couldn't help to feel a weird feeling settling in the pit of my stomach.I started to look round my room I haven't seen in 4 years. "God its still as depressing as I left it" i grumbled.
"Ah miss Dupont you arrived" came a voice behind me, "Jesus fucking christ Sebastian I only just got here and you already nearly killed me" I snapped with one hand on my chest.
"Still a little comedian I see" said the older man while rolling his eyes.
"Don't act like you didn't miss me" I say as I walk up to him and grab the hat off his head before placing it on my own. "I will never understand why my father makes you wear this ridiculous hat"
"He says it makes the staff look smarter"
Sebastian shrugged."No he just wants to put his logo on anything he can" I rolled my eyes before chucking the hat back at Sebastian.
"Hey! you could've took my eye out" He exclaimed before putting it back on his head while I turn round and look out the window into the backyard. "I thought your father was picking you up then taking you out for dinner" seb questioned.
"He texted me while I was still on the plane that he wouldn't be able to make it" I shrugged.
"Oh, well thats what hap-" Seb starts saying before I cut him off "happens when you run a company, You've said the same thing since I was 7 years old"
Seb sighs before asking "did he send you a driver"
"Probably but I was too tired to go to the other end of the airport so I just ordered a uber driver who was pretty much eye-fucking me through the rear view mirror the whole time" I say while turning around to lean my back against the window sill.
"Well that's men for you" chuckled the older man.
"Exactly why I don't fuck with them" I say while rolling my eyes.
"I thought you was bi" seb raies a eyebrow.
"I'm starting to re question that, you wouldn't believe how many of those 'roadmen' approached me on the steets" I laugh
"A roadman? like men who work on roads" seb asked utterly confused. I couldn't help but burt out laughing.
"No its British slang for those type of boys who think they're the shit and wear black tracksuits and coats that they pretty much hide their whole head in the hood of it" I poorly explain.
Seb rolls his eyes, "well pardon me I ain't the one who spent the last 4 years in London"
"Yeah count yourself lucky I'm surprised I didn't end up getting frostbite" I say in a completely serious tone.
Seb just chuckles before telling me he should get back to work, waving me a goodbye and shutting the door on his way out."Well alone once again" I muffled into my pillow before eventually falling asleep
**
I'm rudely awoken once again by my phone ringing what I've chosen to ignore five times already.
"Hello?" comes a voice from the other end as I groan in realisation I pressed answer and not decline,as I check the callers I quickly sit up right.
"Shit Sophia hey" I quickly say in a groggy voice.
"Oh you was sleeping sorry" she chuckles nervously
"No no sorry I promised I would call after I got unpacked but I ended up falling asleep by mistake" not exactly like I could've unpacked anyways since I pretty much abandoned my suitcase.
"I don't blame you after spending over 7 hours on a plane and with your track record I doubt you slept" Sophia chuckles
I laugh in return "I seriously don't know how anyone can fall asleep on a plane"
"No you're the only weirdo who can't fall asleep in first class" Sophia says with a tint of amusement in her tone."Anyways your still planning to come over tomorrow right?"
"Yeah don't worry I can't wait to hear about what you've been up too these past 4 years" not really she'll probably just complain about her love life and how hard university is.
"That'll have to wait my brother ended up flying back here when he heard you was returning and I doubt we'll get any alone time with him around" she groans
I couldn't help but laugh, Sophias' brother Lewis has always had a crush on me since the first time I went round their house at 17.
"Aw I feel all special" I say in a higher tone.
"Ugh don't even, if you ever end up dating my brother I'll kill you both myself" Sophia snaps.
"Ok ok I was kidding, he isn't even my type and you know it" I laugh as I stand up and make my way back downstairs to the kitchen.
"He isn't anyone's type" she chuckles on the other end of the phone. "Are you seriously making your self a bowl of cereal at 10pm"
"Don't judge me" I say with a mouth full of cornflakes.
"Yeah no I ain't going to listen to you stuff your face" she paused as she listened to Arielle laugh,"You'll come round at 11?" Sophia questions.
"Yeah I'll be there, see you tomorrow" I say before putting another mouthful of cornflakes into my mouth"
"Bye Dupont" Sophia hangs up before I could tell her off for using my last name. Well I guess tomorrow's the day I see the stone family again.
