Genesis stares out of the window as lightning stretches across the sky. There's a thunderstorm warning for tonight and she's been in the house by herself for hours.
Well, almost. Taehyung is here as well but she hasn't seen him at all.
She got tired of being in the silence of her room and decided to explore the house on her own.
It's boring.
There's not much here for entertainment. She doesn't know what they do for fun in this place, if anything.
Genesis's ears twitch at the sound of steps coming down the stairs. She tries not to look but curiosity gets the better of her. She hasn't seen Taehyung out in two days. She's starting to learn that he's a night owl. They all are, but him the most.
He's rarely seen at all during the day. She's not sure if it's because of her or if he's always been that way. Either way, it's something that she's learned about him.
She puts her head down as he walks across the marble floor to the door. He pulls it open and grins at the woman as she walks into the house. Seeing the figure enter from her peripheral, Genesis turns to look at them. It's Rafaela.
Taehyung pulls her in for a hug and looks at Genesis. Her breath catches in her throat. His arm wraps around her waist to keep Rafaela close. With his other hand, he holds the back of her neck keeping her against him.
She puts her arms around his torso and squeezes his body to hers. Taehyung puts his head in her neck and closes his eyes as he breathes in.
Genesis watches as his body relaxes. His eyebrows furrow, not in an angry way, not in a confused way. But in a sense of longing. They stay that way for a few seconds before he cups Rafaela's face in his hands.
"I missed you." His voice is deep, soft with her. Nothing like the tone that he uses to speak to Genesis.
"It's only been two days, Tae."
"Yes, but you could've come back sooner."
"How about I just stay the night tonight?" She undoes the top button of his shirt and he smiles at her. She tilts her head up as he leans in.
It's the first time that Genesis has ever seen him smile so big. It's the first time she's ever seen him... happy. With Rafaela.
Her eyes begin to water suddenly as the longing in her chest is tugged at. It feels as if something is literally pulling at her heart, trying to rip it out from her chest. She looks down slowly until her eyes reach the ground.
