Many people question the origin of soccer. Numerous experts have tried to make a theory on how the wonderful sport was created. People say that soccer dates back to 2500BC, during which time the Greeks, Chinese, and Egyptians all played a sport with a ball and kicking it with their feet. Soccer began to evolve in modern Europe in the 9th century. In England, people would kick a pig's bladder from one landmark to another. Soccer began to grow bigger and began to become popular. In the 1700's, people in Britain started to create soccer clubs and play matches against each other. In 1888, countries in Europe started to make their own national teams. Switzerland, Denver, Norway and many more started to play soccer. Soccer is the sport that the world adores and loves since 2500BC.


Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi is a soccer phenomenon. Who is he you ask? Messi is an Argentinian soccer player that plays for the club FC Barcelona. He was born on June 24, 1987, which makes him 27 right now. Lionel Messi's ancestors are from and were born in Italy. When Messi was five, he played for Grandoil, a local soccer club coached by his father, Jorge. At the age of 11, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency which makes his body stop growing. If he wanted to get the deficiency treated, it would have to cost $900 a month. So, when FC Barcelona saw Messi play, they thought he was one of the best and gave him a contract to be on the team. They also paid for his treatment.
