I looked at him next to me. though I love him, I knew we could never be together.
I opened my mouth to speak ending the silence between us.
“I’m sorry Chase but I feel as if we’ll be caught” I felt the tears well up in my eyes.
Chase looked at me with his beautiful emerald eyes “I know you’re afraid of the higher ups, but they would never be able to find out! We are careful.” Chase replied.
“No, I just can’t do this anymore! We could be jailed for this or worse! Be brought to death! Who know what would happen if they found out?” I mentioned worriedly with tears falling from my pale cheeks.
“Tyler, Tyler! W-we could leave town, go to a place that accepts us! We don’t need to end this!” he pleads, having tears drip from his chin.
“I’m sorry, I need to go” I say as I’m walking to his back door.
“No! wait please don’t leave! I need you, I love you!” he said desperately, it had been the first time he has ever said that to anyone except from his family. Chase’s face became a crimson after he realizes what had he said.
I sighed “I... love you too but I don’t know what we can do, your plan is good, maybe even great but we don’t know a place where people will accept us!” I explained.
“I heard of this place up north where people like us are! Even people of different races are accepted there! It sounds wonderful.” Chase said with bliss and a smile on his face
“b-but it sounds too good to be true! What if its just some execution spot where they get us to meet then just slaughter us all!!” I said with worry in my voice.
“that’s a possibility… but what if its not like that! Even if it is like that there much to live for if I can’t be who I am and be with who I love! If there isn’t a place out there for us, I don’t want to be on this god forsaken planet!” Chase explained to me
“Okay... when do we leave?” I asked
“Tonight?” Chase questioned
“Tonight!” I spoke raising my voice louder than normal
