"Ugh! It's my senior year, and I still don't have a prom date! Prom is in two months, Mom!", I said with a sigh.
I'm eighteen, and I have never truly went on a date or even to a dance with any guy. I know, I know, how embarrassing. I haven't had any free time though, with managing my straight A's in each class, studying after studying, I never found the time.

"I know, sweetie. I know for sure someone will ask you soon. You are very beautiful, and it may seem as if no one likes you, but they do. You just have to socialize more." She replied while preparing dinner.

The aroma in the air smelled tempting, it was the pork loin baking in the oven and the mashed potatoes cooking on the stove top.

"You know Im shy, in afraid if putting myself out there to get embarrassed." I mumbled while picking the nail polish off my nails. I've always been afraid of rejection, ever since I asked Alan, the popular jock, for his number. He laughed in my face and said, 'you wish!'. All his friends laughed in sync with one another. Quickly I ran to the bathroom before anyone could see the water forming in my eyes.

"I have two boys in mind, that would love to escort you to Prom." She smiled thinking of them.

"Who?" I asked furrowing my brow at her to portray a 'really?' Look.

"Your twin cousins! They are your age!" She replied with excitement. I have twin relatives? No way! This came as a shock to me.

"Awe, mom no! I can't, that's weird. They're my COUSINS! That would be awkward."

"They are distant cousins, and by marriage. So you aren't really related to them." She replied while getting the stick butter out from our black fridge and placing it into the steaming, hot mashed potatoes.

Speaking of potatoes, I love potatoes. Especial French fries, and hash-brown casserole.

My mind starting to wonder about the twins. I didn't even know until just now! I wondering if they are even cute and nice.

"I suppose that I'll go with one of them, if and on if, I don't have a prom date." I spoke softly.
I wonder where they are from, probably not too far if they are willing to escort me to Prom. I kind of hope they have brown eyes, I'm a sucker for brown eyes. Grr, I need I stop thinking about them in that ways.
"Where do they live?", I said while putting my cup of Coke to my mouth, my voice echoing inside the cup quietly.

"Tuscany, Italy. Which is seven hours ahead of us."

I almost started choking on my soda. Italy?!? Do they even speak English! That's a far travel! Italy all the way to Florida!

"They have always wanted to come see and tour this United States. This will be good for not only you, but them also. It is a win win. They definitely want to go to Disney World." She chuckled while saying Disney World.

Huh, that's pretty neat. "Do they speak English?"

"A little, I took Italian in High school and if they don't understand you or you don't understand them, I will help you out." She replied while walking over to the couch in the living room with me. "Oh, also Alessia, I think they are famous in their country. They sing."

My jaw dropped, when my mom noticed, she laughed and shook her head.
"They name themselves Ciuffi Rossi. They do a lot of covers of recent pop songs, and they also have a single called 'Biancastelle' I was Skyping them when you were at school and I had my day off."

"That is really cool! Although I'm going to treat them normal." I said with a laugh.

"When are they coming?" I asked her. She smiled as if she knew something I didn't.

"They are on their way now. Their plane lands in a few hours, and I will be picking them up. They will stay in the guest room upstairs." She smirked

"You are just now telling me this?!?" I replied while standing up to go clean my room upstairs.

I have only one best friend, Her name is Melissa. We've been friends ever since kindergarten and I wouldn't know what to do without her.

I called her up and as the phone rang my mind wondered back to the twins. I can't have feelings for them, I don't want to get close to anyone. I don't want to be left again, just like my dad did to my mom and me.

She answered within the fourth ring. "What's up, Lessia?" She spoke into the phone.

"Well, I just found out I have distant relatives that are our age from Italy and that they are famous over there." I sighed. "Oh, and their plane lands in a couple hours." I added with a smile. My heart skipped a beat just thinking about them.

"Wait!" She said excited. "No way!! You are distant relatives with Ciuffi Rossi! I call Marco!!!" She screeched making my ear hurt.

"You know them?!? No way! That's so cool, and okay. I'll let you have him since you know about them more than I do. Also, Melissa they will be taking me to Prom! Do you have a prom date?" I asked hoping she didn't so Marco could take her and we could double date.

Melissa is outgoing, we are nothing a like. She loves sports, plays everyone that out school had offered. Her hair is long that is blonde, she usually french braids it or just throws it up into a messy bun.

I can never figure out about she makes her messy buns so perfect, when I do mine, they look horrible. She is taller than me by 7 inches. I'm five foot and two inches, and she is give foot nine inches. She has long tan legs, I have short pale legs.
She's skinnier than me because she is always do something that involved physicalness. While I have curves and read, and write.
"No, I don't. Is it okay if he takes me?" She asked nicely, I could tell she really liked him.
"Of course!" I said smiling with delight that she is happy. She hasn't been happy since her boyfriend recently broke up with her.

I ended the phone call after that because I had to vacuum my room. My room walls were a like aqua color and so was my bed. My bed was a queen, since I'm an only Child and my mom is a doctor.

I walked into my bathroom, picking up the purple soft blush bath towel for once I got out of the shower.
I felt the smooth cold faucet underneath my hand as I turned the hot water on. As my shower got hot, I saw steam roll out from above the curtain. Which I figured it would be burning and I then turned the cold water on a little.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I was pale with high cheek bones, dimples when I smiled, perfectly straight teeth thanks to braces. Pale skin and long dark brown hair the fell all the way down to my lower back. I have thick dark eyelashes and dark pink lips.

I usually never wear makeup except on special occasions. Only because when I do, I always get my pores clogged and pimples begin filing my smooth cheeks.
After taking my shower an hour had passed. I also had to brush my teeth, make my hair wavy and repainted my nails.

"Alessia! Are you ready to leave yet? It's an hour drive!" My mother called from down stairs.
"Yes, I'm coming." I replied from upstairs walking through the hallway and down the stairs.
