Supergirl and her new ally , who helped free her, led her to the apartment which was located on the 8th floor. They went inside , he put his hammer down and sat on a chair while she looked around.
Supergirl: You've got a nice place.
Magni:It's not mine , I rented it for a while. No one lived here. My name is Magni , you can call me Luke, it's my human name anyway.
Supergirl: I'm Kara , thanks for saving me again , if you don't show up I don't know what would have become of me.
Magni:It' s okay, it was the right thing to do, how are you feeling?
She sighed.
Supergirl: I'm glad to be away from Kal , but the whole world will be looking for us.
Magni:We'll figure something out , we're the only ones who can stop him.
Supergirl: How? He's got the whole world under his thumb , there's no way and I'm not even talking about when he brings others from other planets to serve him , there's no hope anymore.
Magni shook his head.
Magni:Hope dies last , as long as those who fight are here , hope still survives.
Supergirl pondered , she wanted to help but she didn't think there was anything else they could do.
Supergirl: You're right about that, but...
Magni:I was raised to protect those who need it most, and that's what I'm going to do. We can do this, believe me.
Supergirl: Well... okay, then. So how are we gonna do it?
Magni:Well, as far as I know, the heroes are being controlled by this device they're wearing on their heads, we have to free them, but first we have to figure out the location of each and every one of them.
Supergirl: It's a crazy plan, but it doesn't get any better than this.
Magni:But how do we find out their location, do you have any ideas?
Supergirl: Batman , he created something called the Brother's Eye, it can show us the location of each of them.
Magni:Do you know where we can find it?
Supergirl: It's in Gotham, but the problem is , it's some distance away so it's going to be a trip.
Magni:No problem , I can fly too so we can leave but not until later in the night when the search for us is over.
Supergirl: Ok , the way you introduced yourself , you're not human , are you ?
Magni sighed.
Magni:You're right , where I come from , people used to think of us as gods but that was a long time ago. My father is Thor, the Norse god of thunder and lightning. We Asgardians have always protected Midgard, or Earth as you call it. The reason you've never heard of me or us is because I'm not from your universe.
Supergirl: Okay, thanks for your honesty, but why are you here, don't you want to come home?
Magni:The portal pulled me into your dimension. I wanted to leave, I thought I'd go to Earth, ask for help, but when I saw the state it was in, I couldn't just stand by and watch.
Supergirl: Thank you, I'm so glad you came when you did.
Magni:My father raised me with the spirit of protecting those who need it the most, he was a great hero and protected our Earth along with other heroes.
Magni said those last words in a bitter tone. Supergirl noticed.
Supergirl: Are you ok ? If you want to talk I'm here.
Magni:Thank you , maybe later , no time for that now. Relax, I'll get you something to drink?
Supegirl: You can, thank you.
As he was about to walk towards the kitchen , Supergirl grabbed his hand , he looked back questioningly.
Supergirl: Thank you for giving me hope, even when all seemed lost, your father can be proud of the son he raised.
Magni:Thanks, you're welcome.
The duo spent those few quiet hours relaxing and talking.
