Chapter 26 Car Accident?

Chapter 26 Zayn’s p.o.v

My phone rings from next to me. I answer it. Amy’s voice comes from the other line.

“Car accident!?” I repeat what she said terrified. She answers with a “yes!”. I hang up and run around looking for my keys.

“WHERE ARE MY KEYS!!!” I scream. Jasmine walks into the room.

“Why do you need your keys babe?” She asks Lucy at her side.

“ADAM’S BEEN IN A CAR ACCIDENT!” I say. Jasmine’s face turns into shock and she quickly runs to the hall with Lucy. When she comes back she has one of my varsity jackets over her p.js and Lucy is in her cage.

“We can take my car.” She says, her keys in hand as she runs out the door. I slip on my shoes and grab Jasmine’s because she forgot them. I run to meet her outside in the parking lot. She sprints to her car and I’m right behind her. I know she’ll be complaining about her feet hurting later on because I can already tell there are cuts on the underneath of her feet from the hard gravel. I speed up scared that she would get in the car and forget me. I quickly jump into the car, as does Jasmine. We drive and in a blink of an eye we’re parked and Jasmine is sprinting out of the car and to the building, I’m right on her tale. She runs through the double doors and I quickly fallow.

“Adam! Adam Kyle!!” She yells the name at the lady, she quickly checks some things and sends us down a hallway. Jasmine turns into what I guess is the right room. I run in also to find all the lads, a sobbing Amy, what I guess is Adam’s family, who are also crying, and then in the middle of all of it is a very hurt Adam lying on a bed surrounded by machines. I take my place next to the lads as Jasmine hugs Amy and they cry together. Adam seems to still be alive. I hear Amy sob things like; ‘we were going to start a family,’ and ‘please no! Please God let him live!’ Jasmine comforts her, Jasmine always comforted people, she’s just the type of person that is there for you when it seems like no one else is. I notice that in Amy’s shaking hand she holds Adam’s broken and bruised one, and I realize these two are truly in love. I can tell Adam is struggling to stay alive. His eyes flutter open. He looks at his family first, then the lads and I, then Jasmine, but finally his usually sparkling eyes, which are now a dole blue, land on Amy. With much effort he reaches over and cups Amy’s cheek with his free hand. “I love you.” He chokes out. “I love you too.” Amy replies.“Always have, always will.” She says in just barley a whisper. Tears are streaming out of every single eye in the room as we watch, helplessly. His eyes flutter closed and all the machines start buzzing, but there’s one machine that you can hear clearly; the straight ‘beep’ with the machine showing a red line. The room goes quite before all you can hear is Amy sobbing. She stands up and throws the chair she was sitting on, she nocks down anything in sight. Jasmine tried to grab Amy but it was no use, Amy pushed her away, causing her to fall to the ground, Amy ran out of the room and disappeared down the hall. After that everything became quite. I helped Jasmine up and held her close to me.
