Shadow Dragon Saga

One whole year later, it's a glorious, perfect day. Wedding bells are ringing, flowers are all over the air, everyone is cheering and so happy. We move into a church in West City to see the final moments of Trunks and Raunch marrying. They share the final kiss and are wed. As they fly off for their honeymoon, another issue is happening elsewhere. Back at Capsule Corp HQ, the Dark Star Dragon Balls have grown major cracks. It gets to the point where Whis arrives as everything ends to inform Bulma. The two gather Nappa and head over, unlocking the case to see how horrible the damage is. Whis tries to use his Godly magic on them...but nothing happens. "That's odd..." He tries again, and more cracks happen, to the point where they are chipping, losing pieces...breaking even. Whis has them all retreat out of the house just as they shatter, and release hellish negative energy, the city, and most of the planet becomes engulfed as seven figures rise from the destruction and fly off.

Everyone rushes back to HQ, minus the newlyweds, to see what's going on. They see only one thing...the face of the last entity to leave the darkness, the face of a dragon, a being of evil. The darkness fades and nothing is left, CC HQ is destroyed. The team picks up the pieces, and recovers the Dragonballs, finding them undamaged. Raditz and Gohan head off to check on Dende, making sure he's alive and ok. He confirms that he saw it, felt it himself. "It was like a hurricane of vile energy...I felt like I was suffocating."

"Our Dragonballs were right next to them at the time, so it makes sense if you're connected to them."

"Wait, Dende, do you know who was in the Dark Star Dragonballs?" Dende shakes his head.

"I wish I did...unfortunately, there's no way of knowing due to them being full of violent energy." Then, Bulma and Vegeta arrive with the normal Dragonballs.

"Dende, I don't feel safe with this in Capsule Corp...can you put them somewhere safe?" Dende nods and takes them into the building, hiding them away. After a few more minutes of talking, Dende says this.

"Should it come down to it...I will sacrifice myself to keep those from being used by the Dark Dragons." A collective group of 'No's' and complaints come down. "If...it happens, then sacrificing myself will shut down the Dragonballs, meaning they will have no power and be useless. They'll gain no power or benefit out of them."

"Dende, you understand what that means? We'll lose the only thing we can use to revive everyone should this go completely sideways." He nods. "I doubt Namek will let us use them again."

"Listen, I don't want it to happen, to come to that, but if that's what has to happen, then it has to happen. Denying them power is the only way to ensure you guys can beat them."

Back at what remains of CC HQ, the team is trying to figure out what to do, when Whis says this. "My magic didn't work on Dark Star balls...that's concerning, it makes me wonder if they are immune to Divine Ki. That does not bode well for everyone here." Whis shakes his head, looking to the team. "I suggest you all begin to train as much as possible. I don't have the slightest idea where those creatures went, and if my Divine Ki can't do anything, I hazard a guess that even our own Super Saiyan Gods will be unable to fight."

"So we're screwed, is what you're saying." Nappa growls out, to which Pan replies.
"No way uncle Nappa! We're not going to lose this fight! We haven't lost any of the other fights, so why would we start losing now?!"
"Hohoho! She has a point there Nappa. Well, I'll leave you all to it for now. Do not underestimate these beings. They're going to be your toughest test yet." And with that, Whis is off, leaving the team to fix things up themselves.

By the time the team has fixed up CC HQ, it's been a whole 4 days, and the first of the evil entities makes themselves known. The team is getting reports of a miasma over East City, clouding the skies and flooding the water. Everyone's dropping to this odd plague. Fearing the worst, Trunks and Raunch head out before the others. They had moved out to live in North City, so they can have a more quiet life together. Surprise, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Trunks and Raunch see the Miasma fog before they ever reach the city, and are quick to put rebreathers in. Trunks is still Bulma's son, after all. Moving about the city, they see people down everywhere. They work quickly, using a few Capsules to create carriages that they can fill up and take out of the city. That's when they hear a heinous laughter. "Going somewhere?" Looking about, it's only when they feel that dark power do they realize the entity is in the fog itself. The creature manifests out of it and becomes known to the husband and wife. A giant toad-like creature stands before them, this miasma spewing from its very body. "I don't think you know what you're doing. Those people are mine to feast on." Unable to speak, as they need to keep the rebreathers in, the couple power up to Super and take on the beast.
