Jessica's P.O.V.

I could already tell that I love weekends. Magic was allowed, and learning wasn't. Although I was upset about the not learning part, I knew I could get used to it. I conjured up a blanket, and the three of us laid down and watched the sky.
Alice, the girl who lost Erica, seemed to grow happier by the minute. The more we talked, the more she smiled. We talked for almost two hours, until the explosion.

It's not like the whole school blew up or anything, although some people may have gotten some first degree burns. There we were, talking our heads off ( Our heads were not actually falling off! It's just an expression! ) when suddenly, a few yards away from us, some wizard managed to blow up a tree nearby. Thankfully, we were okay.

I ran up to the wizard, who had fallen to the ground. He had the bluest hair ever, and bright grey eyes. They were almost a silver. "Are you okay?" I reached out to help help him up, and let go immediately. It was almost as if he electrocuted me. I reached out again, and ZAP. There it was again. The wizard must have felt it, because he looked at me, bewildered. This time, I grabbed ahold tightly, pulling him off of the ground. The buzz was still there, but not as bad as before.

"Umm... hey. I'm Waylin." He dropped his wand, and picked it up clumsily.

" Hey Waylin... I'm Jessica." His eyes widened.

"Are you the angel? I've always adored angels! They have, like, no limits to their magic. How do you do it?" He blushed, realizing his mistake. It didn't matter, I thought he was adorable.

"It's hard to explain. What happened?" I asked, looking around at the dying flames and burnt grass.

"I'm afraid it's also hard to explain."

"Hey, Jessi! Are you gonna introduce us to your friend or what?" I forgot about Amelia and Alice.

"Oh, uhh... Waylin, this is Amelia and Alice. Amelia and Alice, this is Waylin." I said, flustering.

We decided to hang out together, of course, and he was, like, amazing. He may have blown a few more things up, but it was all on accident! Waylin seemed to know a lot about angels, and I knew nothing about wizards, so we had lots to talk about.

We decided to eat lunch together, and invited Benji along. He didn't seem to like Waylin very much. Every time Waylin spoke, his eyes grew kind of dark. Things went pretty smoothly, however, until the very end of lunch, when Waylin talked about spells.

"Do you even realize that spells are satanic? Doesn't it bother you where this "Magic" comes from?" Waylin started muttering.

"Benji, It's not like that!" I tried to stop the soon to be fight, but Benji interrupted me.

"Don't you get it? He's a demon, only worse! Think of what they can do! " The demon thing hurt Waylin, like a lot.

"Are you serious? A Demon? First of all, I was born like this, I didn't exactly have a choice. Second of all, unlike demons, us wizards have a soul, and dream, unlike you guys, your'e dead!" Something sparked inside of Benji. Something about his life seemed to affect him. I made a mental note to interrogate him later.

Anyways, he lunged at Waylin ( Across the table). He made one good hit in the eye before we managed to pull him off.

"Waylin, are you okay?" I asked. His eye looked terrible. "Let's go to the emergency room."

"No, no. I can fix it."

He held up his wand up to his eye, and we all yelled "No!" We had a pretty good feeling that nothing good came from that boy's magic. He may have grown horns. I practically dragged him to the hospital. him, like all boys, insisted that he was fine, but I ignored him. Amelia dealt with Benji (Which probably meant she helped him escape another detention). Everyone knows that they have a thing for each other, except them.

Overall, It was the best Saturday I had ever had. Being with other friends was a luxury i had never been able to experience. Maybe I wasn't meant to be in heaven. Strangely, I felt like these people were who I belonged with.
