It's better to be alone than to be with someone who only makes you feel alone.I arrived at The Ritz four hours later. My legs were sagging and aching due to the long drive that I wince when I tried stretching them.
When I climb out of the car, I can feel how my ass hurts a lot. I slowly clutch my small travelling bag and headed directly to the reception area.
On my way, my eyes roam around. The lavishly luxurious hallways of the hotel haven't changed. Maybe a touched up from the tiniest piece but the high ceilings and elegant chandeliers hanging were still the same.
As I handed my V.I.P. card to the lady at the front desk, I saw how her face lights up upon recognizing my name. And a very sweet and demure smile plastered on her Rep lips.
"Welcome to the Ritz,.my lady. I hope you will enjoy your stay here. "she rants obviously stating her memorized line. Same old boring lines everytime I visited here.
I look her straight to the eye with a serious and annoyed expression while my fingers impatiently tapped the counter. " Can I have my room now?"I say, making my voice sent the message to her that she's an annoying bitch.
Her smile fades a little but as though realizing something, she was so quick to recover her fake smile.
"Of course, my lady. It'll be a minute. Our supervisor will personally -"
But I raise my hand in the air making her stop speaking. "No. I want my room now not in a minute. And I can walk there by myself. See, I have two legs?" I can't help to be sarcastic and rude. She's so damn annoying with her forced poise or fake smile. Or maybe I just really hate everyone around me. But then so what?
Her face went pale obviously appalled. "O..of course, my lady. Here's your card and the room key. I mean your room key. "she stutters.
I just raise my right brow in acknowledgement after she handed the key and my card back. No need to say thanks. It's her job.
I then walked away immediately. Travelling down the long hallways while stopping sometime to check the room number. When I found the right number, third room to the left, I quickly insert the key and hurriedly swung the door open.
A very huge and luxurious suite welcomed my eyes. It's exactly the royalty suite and the red velvety carpets and couch's cushions were quite marvellous. When I stepped inside, my heels touches the thick carpet tempting me to take off my shoes and walk bare foot.
After for some minutes of walking back and forth, I slammed my small bag on the couch fronting a very large flat screen television. And then my body followed immediately. My legs were still aching but I badly needed to have some little shopping now. The clothes I brought were too inappropriate and just few knowing I would probably staying here for a while.
Thinking of staying, I can't help but take a very deep sigh. I have no exact plans of how long will be my stay here. This was just supposed to be my short gateway for my boredom. And I don't have the slightest idea that this will be my escape.
After I washed my face with a cool water and brushed my hair twice, I quickly went back outside to do a short stop shopping. Just few clothes, perfumes and make up matches the France hot summer look. And then I can roam the Paris city at night.
When I passed the lobby again, I spotted the receptionist obviously terrified upon seeing me. But when I stop to look at her, she quickly grab the phone and pretended to be talking with someone through it. Now she's really a total insane bitch! I muttered to myself. I ignored her and continue walking outside.
