There never once was a day where I have not thought about the past. The future. But mostly the present. Words. Scrambled in my head, all of them rushing, racing, dancing in front of my eyes. Reflecting my now.
This is the story of my life. But I am not one to tell it. My Reflection is. Let me give you some background, first, before all of this goes to your head too quickly. A Reflection is a being that looks, talks, and moves the same as you and I. Very few have one, accepting myself and one other- that I know of, at least. We are called the Reflectors- hated by the government and all that know of our titles. I have never wanted it this badly, not before all of it happened so fast. But now, I am stronger for it- free as a bird and light as air. I am who I truly am... Who I have always strived to become. The Reflection of myself.

My name is Ruby Morgan. I'm not exactly your typical fifteen year old damsel in distress. I am the princess of my realm, in which it is called Baeryon. My father, the great king, had called ill when I was only ten. For five years, my family and I have been praying for a miracle. For him to get better. I know that sounds crazy, because anyone with his type of illness will be sick until the end of his days. I fact, it's not really even a sickness that has fallen over him. It is a deep, dark curse that had purged our land and decided to take the life of my father. But our kind is strong-- not immortal-- but strong. We will not rest until every last person in Baeryon is protected from the evil ways of the Outside World. The Outside World is dangerous and unknown to many of our kind. It is secretive, confusing, and will wrap itself around your mind until it takes control of what's inside. And now, I have chosen to go out there... To venture this uncharted territory. Why? For two reasons:
1) I need to help my father and seek out the most powerful person in the world. No one knows his name.
2) Develop my Reflection and become stronger and braver for it.
I want to help my people and become the best version of myself-- for the good of everyone around me.
