"Grayson, I tired calling earlier but I got your voicemail..again. Please call me back." I hang up the phone with a huff. I was starting to get annoyed with him. First he tells me he likes me. Then he chooses to ignore me. I will never understand that boy. I shove my phone in my pocket walking into the loft. Cody was laying on the couch on his stomach. His arms crossed under his head. I walk to the back of the couch then flip onto his back. He grunts when I land on him. "How was your day with dream boat?" Cody asks bitterly. I adjust myself so I'm laying flat on my back. My head on his shoulder blade. I shrug my shoulders. "Don't know. He left half hour after we met up." I say causally. "What?" Cody asks. I nod even though he can't see me. "He kissed me and I told him that I just came to get closure. He respected my decision and left. Clean break I might add." I explain. Cody reaches for his phone on the coffee table. He clicks his home button causes the phone to light up. Then he sets it back down. "It's 8:30. Where have you been all day?" He asks. "Well, at the park I played with a bunch of little kids for an hour. Then I left to go get ice cream but on my way there I seen a movie theater so I watched the movie Home by myself. After the movie ended I remember I wanted ice cream so I went and got some. Once I was done I bought a few books from a book shop. Took some pictures. At Chinese then came here." I explain my whole day. Cody chuckles shaking his head. "Leave it to you to spend the whole day by yourself." He remarks. "I didn't want to come home early and have to explain to Susan why I was back." I say. "Ahh, I see." He says. We fall in a comfortable silence for a moment when it dawns on me that it's to quiet. "Speaking where are Susan and Daniel?" I ask. "Shopping. Susan dragged him to the mall." Cody snickers. "So what do you wanna do hot shot?" I ask. "Watch a movie?" He asks. I groan. "No, something else." I decline. "Go for a walk?" He offers. "Ew." I scrunch my nose in distaste. I've been walking around all day. I didn't feel like doing that now. "Alright, how about..." He pauses to think. "We get tattoos." "Okay, sure." I agree. "Yeah?" Cody asks excitedly. I laugh lightly. "Yeah." I confirm. I climb off his back walking to the door. I hear him walking behind me. I step outside waiting for Cody to lock the door. "There's actually a tattoo shop a few streets down. My cousin goes there all the time." Cody informs me. Streets? No. That means we have to walk. I don't want to walk. Cody takes a few steps then stops. "Come on. I'll give you a lift." He offers. I grin jumping on his back. He hooks his arms under my legs. "When is your boot gonna come off?" He asks. "Next Monday. I can't wait. I'm tired of this damn thing." I say. He chuckles lightly walking down the left side of the sidewalk. "Does this mean I have to carry you around everywhere on this trip?" He asks. "Please?" I ask as sweetly as I can. He rolls his eyes but I see the smile creeping onto his face. Once we reach the tattoo shop, Cody sets me down on my feet. I look around the room at the tattoos they had framed trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to get. "Is this your first time?" I ask Cody. He nods nervously. I smile. What a newbie. I got my first tattoo a few months after dating Brad. I felt rebellious. Which is ironic considering the tattoo I got has a lot of meaning to me. "You?" He asks. I shake my head lying to him. I knew he would chicken out of I told him I had a tattoo before. "Hi, names Doug. What can I do for you today?" He greets us. "We're wanting to get tattoos." Cody answers. Doug nods as if it weren't obvious. "Of what?" Doug asks. "This." Cody pulls out his phone showing Doug a picture. He nods telling Cody to follow him to the back. "Can she come?" Cody asks pointing to me. Doug looks at me and sighs. "Fine." He agrees. I sit beside Cody holding his hand as Doug starts the tattoo. "Does it hurt?" I ask. Cody shrugs. "Not so bad. I don't know how to explain it. It's like a discomfort."
"I know what a tattoo feels like." I say. Cody looks at me wide eyed. "How? You've never had one." He says bewildered. I smile at him. "Why'd you lie?" He asks. "I knew you wouldn't get one if you knew I had one." I say. Cody nods rolling his eyes. After an hour of being there I get bored walking around the shop looking at tattoos. Some of these designs are pretty cool. I wouldn't get them myself personally but they are cool. "Do you need help with anything Ms?" A girl with blonde hair asks. I shake my head. "I'm waiting for my friend." I say. She nods smiling as she walks away. I grab on of the magazines sitting down in the chair. After flipping through the book twice Cody finally came out. "A dream catcher?" I ask. He nods. "I like it." He confirms. He got a dream catcher on his upper arm. It wasn't big. A decent size actually. "How are you gonna hide that from your parents?" I ask. "I'm eighteen. I don't need there permission. Besides, it's to late now." Cody winks paying for the tattoo. "Thanks again." He calls over his shoulder to Doug as we walk out. "So I was thinking, I've never seen this mysterious tattoo of yours. Where is it?" He asks. "Somewhere private." I answer. He glances down in between my legs. I smack his side. "No you perv. It's above my waist. But I can't show you without flashing you." I smirk. Cody raises his eyebrow. "What is it?" He asks. "Not telling. It's personally."
"Has anyone seen it?" He asks. I shake my head. "No one. Just the tattoo artist who did it for me. Other than that no." I answer. "Why?"
"It means to much to me." I answer pushing my hair away from my face. "I do like your tattoo though." I say. Cody grins. "Thanks. I like yours too. Even though I haven't seen it." He jokes. I roll my eyes but smile at him.
