I thought of last night when Hardin left and how I broke a glass. I heard someone calling my name but it sounded far away.
"Layla. Earth to Layla. Hey girly are you alive." I managed to pull my head up and look at Leon and Claire then scope my surroundings. We were at school. I did not even notice we had arrived at school. I did not say anything and jumped out of the car. I recognized that Claire and Leon hadn't gotten out of the car so I stopped and turned around to wait on them.
"Coming or not?" They stood there waiting like five minutes then got out of the car. Leon looked concerned and so did Claire. I turned around to look at them.
"Ok what is going on?" Claire and Leon looked at each other then back at me. I waited a minute then Leon had finally answered my question.
"Layla are you ok? We feel like your not doing so well since Hardin left last night." I looked at them with horror. This is what it was all about. Hardin leaving. I did not know what to say. I sat down at the closes bench. Leon and Claire sat next to me. Claire grabbed my hands.
"Layla you can tell us whatever, you know that right?" Tears started running down my face. Of course I knew I could tell them anything I just did not wanna cry right now. My face was already red and puffy from last night. I looked up at Claire and then at Leon.
"Of course I know that. Why did he leave me Claire, Why." The tears betrayed me and came streaming down my face. Claire wrapped me in a tight hug.
"He left us all Layla. Don't worry, Its gonna be ok." Leon scooted closer to me and joined the hug.
"Ok , I love this but we have to get to class." Leon chuckled then got up and reached for my hand.
"Then let's go, we don't wanna be late do we?" Claire giggled. I got up and started walking to the building.
