How did I get here? Katsuki thought to himself. Oh wait, he knew.
The night before he had wanted some fresh air and decided to go for a nice walk in the woods. He had expected to be the only one out there, after all the rest of the kingdom, including his parents, had fallen asleep hours ago. However, that was not the case.
As he was walking he saw a figure in a flowy pink dress, with long brown hair falling half way down their back. Intrigued, he approached the figure to say hello and found a beautiful girl with the warmest brown eyes he'd ever seen. She had looked up and offered him a smile, a rarity for Katsuki with how much he looked like he tyrannical mother. This girl must not have recognized him though, for she did not curtsy or use the usual "your majesty" or "my prince" he tended to hear all day long from the people of the kingdom. His mother would have scoffed and told her exactly who she was and made her address her properly, but honestly Katsuki found it refreshing.
"What's a beauty like you doing out here all alone at night? It can be dangerous for a lady of your charm to be in the middle of the woods at this hour," he had said in the most gentle tone he could muster.
She smiled up at him. "I could ask you the same thing. I might look delicate right now, but any man or animal that tried to harm me would quickly find out otherwise. And unless you turn out to want to harm me, which I doubt, I see no danger right now."
He smiles crookedly. "Wise words, my lady. Would you care to take a walk with me before we are both forced back into our homes for the night?" He offers up his hand to help her stand from her position sitting by the tree.
She gladly takes his outstretched hand and climbs to her feet. "That sounds like a lovely way to end the night."
So they walked around the woods, making small chit-chat until the saw the sun begin to rise on the horizon beyond the trees.
That was when she had turned to him with a sad smile. "I am terribly sorry, but it would be best if I got home now, my parents will wake soon and wonder where I have disapeared to."
He returned her smile and took her hand again, kissing the back of it. "I had a lovely time and hope we will meet again someday."
She had giggled at his antics, and then she was gone in a swirl of pink and brown.
Katsuki had trudged back home alone and saddened that his amazing night have been cut short by stupid time. He collapsed into his bed as soon as he arrived home and dreamt of the girl until the sun rose well into the sky and his mother had drug him out of bed.
And now here he was watching the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen bawl her eyes out in front of him while her mom begged his for her life. He wanted to pause time there in that moment so he could figure out what to do.
But as his mother spoke out the things this gorgeous girl was guilty of, he found himself unable to do anything.
