chapter 1

I woke up to my alarm blaring and remembered, I had a job interview today! I quickly got up and dressed and ran out the door, when I got there I was greeted by a phone headed man pacing. Upon him realizing i was there, he glanced up at me "you must be y/n! You actually got here early, just sign this contract and you're hired!" i smiled at him and quickly signed. But i couldve sworn that under his breath i heard him say, "you poor fool", he glanced at me and said "cmon, i'll give you a tour of the place!" after awhile of walking around and him explaining my job, (you work as security, btw) we walked up to a place called 'prize corner' and i regretted every choice coming to work here, it even seemed that my boss was scared of him! "....and this is matt! He runs the prize corner...." matt glanced at me, with the creepiest smile i could ever imagine, "hey, im matt everyone loves me!" he said, oh god he's terrifying "hello matt! It's 'nice' to meet you!" it is not nice to meet him, hat am I talking about? My boss walked off leaving just me and matt "ofcourse it is! Everyone loves me!" i heard footsteps walking up behind me "no they dont matt, anyways! Give your finest wrench" the orange man said placing tokens on the counter, why would Matt have a wrench? I thought before oh my god he actually has one,what else could he have? I don't feel safe here. The orange man just turned around to greet me "ah, the new employee! My names jack. We have your uniform in the back, cause theres cameras everywhere except the safe room!" what? Never mind that "hello jack, my name is y/n!" he just smiled and walked with me to the back "i dont blame you for bein scared of matt ya know? Hes a scary guy!" when we got to the back, he handed me my uniform and i got changed, it wasnt so bad,you know? At Least i know some of the employees are ok! I walked out and jack was talking with a purple man, "ah! Youre finished changing! This is dave!" dave just smiled and said "new security? Can i talk to you for a moment? In private?" Daves voice sounded sinister so i thought it would be best to stay out of their way. I went back out to make sure no one was causing trouble, and foud someone attempting to steal.....fireworks? From matt, i sighed and walked over "uhm, sir you are going to have to pay for those," the man looked at me and said "and what are you going to do if i dont?" i changed to a more serious tone "Sir. im asking politely, you have to pay. Dont make me use force." the man laughed and said "dOnT mAkE mE uSe fOrCe' what are you gonna do?hit me?" i exhaled and pulled out my pepper spray that was supplied to me, "sir, kindly give matt back the firework and then leave, i am not afraid to use this." the man froze for a moment before doing what i asked again, leaving just me and matt "why.... Thank you y/n! I thought i was going to have to deal with him myself, but thank you!" oh god he's terrifying. "Here.... As a thank you," he placed a firework on the counter "make sure you stay away from it when its lit, i think youll like this one! I call it 'cherry blossom'" that was...nice of him! "Thanks matt.... Thats kind of you...." i thanked, with a small smile at him "no problem, take it as a thank you! And, no need to pay for it!" maybe he wasnt so bad? But i wasnt taking that chance, i walked around for the rest of the day, throwing people out who tried to assault the fox, playing games and talking to some of my coworkers. However, matts gaze seemed to never leave me.It was.....unsettling to say the least. Even jack started to get slightly worried for my well being, oh geez he was scary.... But the firework he gave me DOES look awesome, i guess i'll light it after work? Yeah! Too bad I can show anyone else though. After a looong day at work, i walked to my house, and noticed someone moving in next door, oh god, it was matt "y/n?! Were neighbors! Hey... we can light that firework together." oh gees, i dont want to spend anymore time with him than i have to. Make up a lie, quick! "Oh, sorry matt, i wasnt gonna light it today," matt had a disappointed look fo a second he was still smiling,how can he do this. "Ah, too bad... but, can you help me put my things in the house? Its not to many things so it wont be hard to do"i don't want to be rude.... "Sure Matt, where can i start?" matt got rid of the disappointed look fully, "all i really need help with is the couch, bed, and tv stand. After i can make dinner?" oh boy.... Agreed, still although i was terrified of him.

Matt POV

Oh, wow. They agreed? Great. Maybe I can figure out this feeling I'm having for them. Ive never had this one before, I know I can feel tolerance towards my boss,and hatred towards jack and dave but them? I feel really POSITIVE towards them... this was not normal, i even gave them a FREE firework... but they're so... perfect i just wanna run my fingers through their hair and hold them close to me... "earth to matt? Where do we place the couch down?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by this question, "OH! Just over here would be fine!" After we sat down on the couch I told them to sit down and let me make something. All I made was some fried chicken and fries. When I brought it to them they seemed really thankful, and they seemed to enjoy my cooking. They are perfect.... This won't be a repeat of Jack, and I'm going to make sure of it....

Your Pov

Matt, hes..... Interesting..... Maybe I should get to know him more, he seemed to be rambling on about how he makes the fireworks, I must admit its pretty interesting... I really like his voice too... NO. you cant be thinking like this about him. Geez, i just met the guy.... But his cooking was nice though... i thanked matt for supper and headed out the door, i realized the firework was still in my pocket and i took it out and looked at it, it was a pretty thing.... Maybe i should light it with him....
