Chapter 17: Dream

"What did you tell her!" I walked up to hiccup who seemed upset for hurting Astrid.
"I-I told her about us.. She needed to know! Now she hates you.." He looked down at the ground. "I'm so sorry Jack."
I lifted his chin, "Hic, it's okay! Don't worry about her. I know you're upset about hurting her but at least it's no secret.."
Hiccup shivered "What If she tells everyone!"
All I could do is hug him. He was scared, very scared. "Sshh it's okay Hiccup. She won't tell anyone, promise. I'll watch out for her and calm her down, okay?"

Hiccup looked up at me with sad yet hopeful eyes as he nodded slightly.
"Now, let's let her calm down a bit before I go to explain it all to her."
Hiccup nodded again and sighed as he muttered "sorry.."

To cheer hiccup up I offered
"how about a ride? You look like you could use one." I smiled softly and messed with his soft brown hair a bit.
Hiccup then silently walked over to toothless and got on the back of him. I decided not to fly, I wanted to be with hiccup. So I got on Toothless as well, slowly wrapping my arms around his waist and laying my head on his shoulder, whispering in his ear. "Ready."

Hiccup flushed as Toothless took off into the sky, soaring in the wind. I lightly kissed Hiccups cheek to cheer him up. "what are you planning to explain, Jack." He sounded serious.. But I smirked a bit and said "I'll tell her we had sex" Hiccup almost steered Toothless into a rock after I said that "JACK!" I laughed a bit "Just kidding! Hey don't worry about it. I got it under control"

Hiccup rolled his eyes trying to hide a small smile "If you tell anyone we had.. You know.. I'll kill you!" His cheeks were now red again, so cute. "you can't kill someone already dead, my darling" I said in an enhancing tone as I smiled. Hiccup didn't answer as I whispered softly in his ear "Cheer up Hic. You're so stressed.." I started feeling a bit bad. I mean hiccup was worrying about this more than he should but.. He has his reasons. "I'm sorry Jack. It's just I don't want her to hate me. I don't want anyone to hate me.."

"She doesn't hate you Hic. She's just a bit angered. She probably hates me. But that's alright. I'm here to please children, not over angered teenage Vikings who try to steal my man!" I giggled a bit and so did hiccup and he mumbled softly "Don't forget pleasing me.."
I blushed softly and wondered if Toothless was listening to us. If he was human, that'll be very interestingly scary on my part.
We flew in silence, I slowly started falling asleep. Being immortal I didn't NEED sleep but sometimes it's nice to sleep. Even for a few minutes or hours.

I was in the middle of no where with Hiccups voice calling my name, but being no where to be seen. It was dark, real dark. The only light source was my staff that looked like a lightsaber from Star Wars. I was running around, from what seemed to be on grass but I wasn't sure. I was calling out Hiccups name, then he called for help. I kept running and running, tears in my eyes, I was lost. I was alone. I had no idea what was happening. Hiccup!! I would yell over and over, my voice growing more desperate each time for his answer. He didn't hear me though, I was crying by then. I was so confused, then I was something- or someone- coming towards me. With the tears in my eyes my vision was blurry so I didn't see so clearly. I realized It was hiccup and I never ran so fast in my life. I gave him a huge hug but I went right through him. If he was calling my name, shouldn't he have believed? But he kept walking around, lost, wondering. I tried reaching out to him, saying his name. nothing. In a split second hiccup was shot.. With an arrow in his heart. He dropped to his knees and collapsed on the cold damp grass.

"Jack!" Hiccup was screaming and shaking me harder than usual. My eyes opened slowly and the first thing I saw was hiccups adorable face, I've never been so happy. I hugged him tightly like a teddy bear "Hiccup!"
Hiccup was hugging me back "Jack what's wrong? You fell asleep on the ride so we went back and next thing I know you're crying your eyes out in your sleep!" I realized I was crying, my cheeks were moist from the tears and I was sniffling a bit. Hiccup used his sleeve to wipe away the tears and said in a soft tone "What happened?"
