The night was beautiful. It was like something from a fairy tale or an untold legend that ended up never being told because of the many questions that it brought. The sky had become a mystery that told itself its secrets out loud yet we still couldn't hear. Maybe it was because space had voided out the sounds we once heard.
Clear skies were what that night had bestood upon us. The clouds were long gone leaving the skies curtains open for its final act on the stage. The moon was at its fullest, some may even say that it looked alive. The night star was like a dim light yet so bright, surrounded by millions of fireflies that dared to outshine but couldn't.
Why must we sleep in? when such a precious gift has been bestood upon us. The sky, the night sky. Even when in fog it still shines yet it looks like it's wearing a mask. For I wish to see the night sky the day I die. I wish to see the moving lights of which are falling stars. I wish to appreciate what was once on display anywhere but is now dimmed by another light that had never been invited. I wish that I can see this beautiful view forever.
But now such a view is gone. Utter darkness that leads to no light is what has been on display for years. Clouds that aren't natural have seemed to make their way to cover the once clear sky. Light from cities has dimmed the lights of the horizon. Negatives and preoccupations seem to have taken all of our time. Memory forgetting to look up. Why look down forever?
I am lost in this world of cruelty with no end. I am lost in a sky with no light, filled with smog and intoxicating poison. I can't seem to breathe as well as I used to. Maybe oxygen left my lungs before my final breath. Why is it all fading black? Is this my end? To die without a view of a beautiful sky as I wished...?
Such Irony, is painful but not a bliss..
