Alright I'm back (finally) I hope you are all well and sorry for taking so long to upload, and if there and any mistakes pls lmk! Anyway love you all!

"I trust you haven't been getting into trouble, Venti." Kaeya said with a quirked eyebrow, his lips playing a smirk of amusement.

"Trouble? Me? Never." Venti chuckled. Finally, after what felt like hours, he and Kaeya had the chance to talk alone. They were in the corner of the living room, in an area with little lighting which resulted in not a lot of peoples attention diverting towards them. "So, uh, how does it feel to be back?"

He knew it was crucial to start a conversation with Kaeya, something unsuspicious hence distracting the other whilst he tried to attach the microphone and camera to him. It didn't seem like an easy task, but Venti was sure that if he distracted him enough, he might be able to get away with it. During the time that Kaeya was being pulled left and right by bubbly guests, Venti snuck off into Xingqui's study and got the microphone and camera connected to his laptop, meaning that everything was in order.

"You know, it's been alright. Although it would be better if someone was here." Kaeya said, his voice becoming a bit bitter at the end. Venti immediately knew who the other was referring to, and saw this as a perfect opportunity.

"Oh? Is that so? I don't want to intrude but I'm going to guess Albedo?" He asked innocently, looking up at Kaeya through his lashes.

Right away, Kaeya's carefree composure broke and many emotions came across his face, sadness, anger, frustration, longing. "I just, don't know what to do. I mean we had it a bit rough before my trip but I would expect he would have gotten over things by now. I mean it's been a year and if he wants to break up with me he should just do it-" He began to ramble, using a range of hand gestures to further emphasis what he was saying.

Venti just nodded along, muttering 'oh really?' 'that's awful...' and 'tell me more' to keep the conversation going.

He subtly then reached inside his pocket, where he placed a small microphone and miniature camera he got from the 'spy' section of the store. Thinking over it, he was pretty sure the kit he bought was aimed for little kids to buy. But hey, it still did the job.

When he was sure Kaeya wasn't paying attention, as the blue haired mans hands were pointed towards the sky and he was looking up in exasperation, Venti quickly slipped the devices into Kaeya's pocket. Being beyond grateful that for once the other wasn't wearing his skin tight pants and instead opted for a baggier option.

Although, the second Venti brought his hands back to his side Kaeya looked at him suspiciously, "did you just touch me?" He asked curiously. "I mean I'm flattered if you, you know, but in case you haven't been listening for the past, what, fifteen minutes I am in a relationship." Kaeya rambled, Venti quickly became pale at the implication of his words. "However, if we actually do end up breaking up..." Kaeya added as an afterthought, Venti quickly shook his head.

"No, no, uh, ehe, I just uh.. You had a bug on you.." Venti trailed off with an awkward chuckle at the end, Kaeya just smirked in reply.

"Hey, if you are into me there is no shame. I mean I would be into me too, have you seen me?" He questioned, Venti got increasingly paler.

"Uh, you know what, I do hope that you and Albedo work things out but I've got to, well, go." He chuckled as he pointed behind him, taking a few steps backwards. He quickly scanned the crowd for someone to resort to, when he caught Xiao's eye. The other was staring right at him, with an emotionless expression on his face. They held eye contact for a few seconds until the other looked away and started talking to Diluc.

How long had Xiao been looking at him for?

"Uh.. Venti? You good?" Kaeya questioned, snapping the green haired mans attention back to him. "Don't tell me.." Kaeya quickly looked back again before turning to face Venti. "Do you have a thing for Zhongli's boy?"

"I- what- no." Venti hurriedly said. "I don't know what you're talking about.."

"It's fine I get it, he's hot. I mean I would have a thing for him too.." Kaeya said thoughtfully, each passing second Venti felt more and more uncomfortable.

"You know what? I've actually got to go." The bard chuckled, "I'll see you."

Before Kaeya could stop him, Venti quickly slipped away from the conversation and hastily made his way to Xingqiu's study, where earlier he left his green bag in. He quickly closed the door behind him and took a breath of relief, then started his laptop and opened the app which the microphone and camera is connected to.

It took a while to connect, however when it did Venti felt hope rush through him as the sound went from static to understandable words.

"I just want to thank you for this party again, Xingqiu, it's amazing."  Kaeya's voice was heard from his laptop.

"Of course, I'm glad you like it." Xingqiu replied.

Venti quickly pressed record on his laptop, therefore he could be involved in the party whilst also being able to go over the conversation later. He then switched to see if the camera was working, and unfortunately all Venti could see was the black of Kaeya's pants. Not that he really should have expected anymore though, besides it was good enough that the microphone was working.

He smiled, placing his laptop and bag in the corner of the room, then covering it with spare clothes lying around on the floor. He would come back to it later, at least everything is in motion now. Besides, right now he has something more pressing to do.
