I woke up to my alarm, not wanting to open my eyes i hit around until the damn thing finally shuts up. "spencer are you up?" i hear my mom yelling from downstairs. "yes mom i'm up" i say half asleep, god i hate mondays and i hate school so when those two mix together... yea no thanks. i slowly get out of bed and try to figure out what i wanna wear. "spence come eat breakfast" my mom yells again from the kicthcen. "i will once i get changed" i say as i hear a simple 'ok'. i finally just decide to throw on a hoodie and sweat pants. i go down stairs to see what my mom has made, homemade pancakes yum my favorite other than doughnuts. i start to eat when i hear my older brother start to run down the stairs. "spencer hurry up we have to pick up adrienne and ben" i sigh as i finish eating, run up stairs brush my teeth and grab my bag and shoes hurrying out to the car. i get a text from adrienne asking when we're going to be here. "zack hurry adrienne is already asking where we are" "not my fault your best friend is a bitch" he says as we pull out of the drive way. "hey shut up it's like me calling ben a bitch" i say even though i know it's about to back fire. "see the thing is you wouldn't call him a bitch because your so in love with him to care" he says. yep i knew that was going to happen. yes i may have had a crush on him since freshman year but he's still a massive dick. "that's homophobic" i say as a joke. "bitch" he mumbles trying to make sure i don't hear as he failed miserably. i hit him on the back of his head for his remark. just then we pull up to adrienne and ben's house. "spencer!!! finally zack needs to learn how to drive faster." adrienne says as she immediately starts to flirt with him. yep that's my best friend the biggest hoe in school yet one of my best friends, more like my only friend but whatever. just then ben gets on the car and i stop talking, god he's so hot. but he's not gay seeing as he hooks up with every girl that even looks at him. but i still feel like i've seen him smile at me when i accidentally brush my hand with his when i have to walk next to him while my brother complains about how he can't get one girl to hook up with him. that's on him though, he has the biggest trash mouth ever and always says something dumb that makes girls not want him, i swear he's a walking birth control pill. anyways once we get to school i hurry up to get to my locker seeing as we're already late and homeroom. once i finish getting all my stuff i start walking to my first period seeing as homeroom is already over. i walk in and see my crush early, not surprised. no it's not ben it's you usual nerd brock springs. see i've liked him longer than ben i've liked him since the 7th grade. and everyone knows it but him or he's straight and trying avoid me, but oh well. when the bell finally rings ben decided to actually show up to class for once, you see me and brock are a year younger than all of them but we're both really smart and did really good they moved us up a year, and ben i'm surprised hes still in 11th grade seeing as he never shows up for class.  "Alright class we will be doing a group project" the class starts to cheer "don't get to excited i already chose your partners and you will be sitting next to them for the rest of the year unless there is an issue." the class groans but i'm happy hopefully i get Brock. "ok so the pairs are... Brock and Hannah, and Ben and Spencer. Ok everyone move to your partners seats". slowly Ben walks over to me. "Sup Zack's brother" Ben says as he sits down. "Ok class now this is not due until the end of the month so you have time your topic is world wide pandemics, you can choose what pandemic you want along with it does not matter if someone else has the same pandemic. now this will be a podcast so you have to be done with research by the end of this week and next week with be combined with putting you're information in to a script and writing a script and practicing it in the hallway. then it will be recording your podcast." just then the bell rings "so Spencer wanna work on this at you're house i'm already coming over to hang with zack so we could work on research?" Ben says as he packs up his stuff to go to 2nd period. "u-um yea sure that works" i say shocked he was going to even do any of the work. "awesome i'll see you later than?" he says "yea bye" i say "bye Spencer" he says walking out of the room. god this is going to be a long month.
