CHAPTER 1:
“Hey there puny!” I said without fear despite being surrounded by three men. I wrap my arms and look at them with a stern look. I know I cannot win over them with those hefty muscles they got there but I knew that I can’t revoke myself from this mess. Well I just have to give it a try.
“Tsk.” One of them smirks as they step forward towards me. I didn’t budge. “Don’t act like you’re going to win this fight pussy.”
“Seriously, stop schmoozing…”I exclaimed getting impatient. “And quit giving me some of your bothersome lectures like as if you’re my father.”
“Good point. Let’s finish this once and for all.”
The first one to attack is the one who is bald. He started punching left and right but I was quick to avoid. I’m quite good at avoiding and escaping so no worry for that. Next on the spot is this spiky-haired guy who is very thin yet flexible. While I am busy dodging myself from the first attacker he quickly flows into our fight in giving me a double kick punch to my shoulder and tummy.
I stumble to the ground with a loud crash. “Ouch.” I groaned in pain. Now I’m embarrassed.
“What is the meaning of this?” A croaky voice spoke up. Mr. Good, our teacher-in-charge, looks at us with his arm crossed. Truth be told his family name is synonymous to being upright but you got it all wrong. A vindictive man; that’s his nature.
I stand and clean myself up from the dust. “We were just playing hit and run Sir.” What a lame excuse.
“Then off you go to my office. Another record for you Odith.” he commands.
I, Odith, is in trouble again. This will be the fifth time I’ll receive punishment from him again. It’s no use if I will explain myself to him. The fact is he didn’t even paid attention to me the first time I got into a fight since I enrolled in this school. He has no mercy. I tell you. Today’s argument with those boys a while ago is not my fault.
They were the one who started it. “Get inside Ms. Odith.” I nodded as I step inside his office. Oh… the way he mentions my name is creeping me out.
“Now sit there Ms. No-goody.” He said pointing to a small, antique chair near his large desk. I feel uncomfortable.
“Now what?” I asked. He laughed. “Ahm… what’s so funny?”
“You know, I’m getting used to your bad behavior. Aren’t you gonna explain what happened?” he asked which surprises me. Now that was weird. He never asks that kind of question.
“Me? Explain? Are you out of your mind?” I laughed sarcastically. I can see how he reacted to my answer. His tone became colder.
“You. Who are you to talk to me like that? You’re just a mere student. A troublemaker, no manners, no right conduct and everything that is bad!”
Ouch. He said too much. I acted nonchalant and said “That’s me” with a fake smile. Damn. I don’t like the way he’s acting now. I felt helpless. Well as always. I have no one to cry out for help or to comfort me when I’m in my worst moment.
“I’m not letting you see my weak side.” I thought. I have to act cool as possible and I need to get out of this place. I look around.
