It was raining so hard she couldn't see five feet in front of her. Considering it was sunny with hardly a cloud in sight not even ten minutes ago, she couldn't just pull over. She was already crossing a bridge going over the lake. Suddenly her car began to hydroplane, and before she could get control her car was careening towards the water.

Almost immediately after her car hit the water it began to fill. She fought with her seat belt but was unable to get it off of her. Knowing she was dying she began to beg for a chance at another, hopefully better, life. Being an orphan since she can remember, all the twenty-seven, almost twenty-eight, year old wanted was a chance to grow up with two loving parent. Maybe even meet someone who could be her other half.

There wasn't much she could say about drowning. It may not physically take long, but knowing your lungs are slowly filling with water, the burn you feel as you slowly lose oxygen, it feels like forever. Seeing your boring, crappy life flash before your eyes. Well, it sucks. Not much more to be said about it.

Losing consciousness, she felt herself begin to float. For the next seven days she watched as they dragged her car and herself from the water. She had to watch as her body was autopsied, embalmed, and then laid to rest in a city plot for unclaimed bodies. The last thing she saw before feeling a strange pull dragging her away was the little plaque reading: Christina Oliver Born September 13, 1993 Died September 10, 2021.

The next thing she remembers is floating in liquid darkness.
