One Year Later

"Are you ready, Isabella? We should be leaving in a few minutes." Renee called out.

Today was her seventeenth birthday, and it was also time to move in with her dad. She wasn't really sure how everything would go, since the pack was waiting for her to decide if the Cullen's were friend or foe.

"Yeah, mom. I'm coming." She replied, looking forward to the move. Since the Cullen's had moved to Forks she hadn't gone to visit not wanting to risk meeting any of them yet. Everyone decided it was best for her to judge them before making any concrete plans when it comes to them. She was a good judge of others character. Like a sixth sense of just knowing what was in someone's heart.

Renee was making sure everything Isabella would need was already loaded onto the moving truck by the time she came outside.

It was drizzling outside, so she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a pale blue sweater with a black rain coat, and a pair of water and slip resistant black boots that went to just below her knee. Her hair was up in a messy bun, just a light touch of makeup, some eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara, and her favorite bright red lipstick. She was ready for the day to be done.

They were going to have a bonfire to celebrate her move with all of her friends and family. By now, Sam, Paul and Jared had phased and imprinted. Everyone absolutely loves Kim, and she's fit in with everyone quite well.

That evening, they're all sitting around the bonfire having just finished eating. When she decides to start the conversation, "so, Angela, Mike and Jessica, any thoughts on the Cullen's so far?"

"Um, yeah actually. I don't like the pixie looking girl, or the broody hair guy. The other three seem cool though. Except the blonde boy looks like he's trying not to kill the pixie when she starts hanging off of him. I doubt they are together, at all." Mike says, making a disgusted face talking about Alice.

Angela and Jessica nod there heads agreeing with what he said. Jessica then says "I've heard her tell everyone they're together and he seems to just put up with it like he's trying not to cause problems."

"Well, I'll see for myself tomorrow. Hopefully I won't have any classes with Edward because I'd rather not be drained dry." Isabella says, getting odd looks from everyone. Then she realizes she never told them about that. "I'm his singer. When he gets a whiff of my blood he'll want to drink my blood like it's heroine and he's going through withdrawals." She sheepishly tells them rubbing the back of her neck.

Everyone looks pissed at her for not telling them sooner, but just decide to make sure she isn't in any of his classes. Ending the bonfire to go home and get some sleep. As soon as she's changed into her pajamas she flops on her bed and falls asleep.

The next morning she wakes up to the smell of coffee. Deciding to just get her day started and knowing there's no point in delaying she gets out of bed and goes to her closet. Picking out an outfit of deep green almost black skinny jeans, a black tank top with a deep green flannel to match her pants, setting out her black below the knee slip resistant boots, she goes to the bathroom to get ready.

Wearing her hair up, and her little bit of every day makeup, she goes to the kitchen for a quick bite and some coffee. Her dads already left for work so she gets in her beautiful baby, a brand new dark blue double cab Chevy Silverado.

When she gets to school she can see that her friends have saved her a parking space by them and are waiting for her to show up. "Isabella!" Her best friend, Jessica, yells out at her hugging her.

"Jesus, Jess. We just saw each other last night. Are you trying to suffocate me, woman?" Isabella laughs out, hugging her back.

After everyone gives out hugs and are all smiling like fools, they start to lead her to the office. That's when they notice that everyone in the parking lot is staring at them like they lost their minds. Isabella just guesses no one realized they were already friends for years now.

Ignoring them, they just keep walking. After she gets her schedule they go to their first class of the day which they all seem to have together. Sadly, classes differ after that, but they decide to sit together at lunch.

Nothing noteworthy happens in her next couple of classes. Thankfully sharing none of them with any of the Cullen's.

She makes it to the cafeteria and manages to sit with her friends before they enter. Jess, being the brilliant actress she is starts babbling about them. "That's the Cullen's, the big guy Emmett and gorgeous blonde bombshell Rosalie are together, the pixie Alice has tried to tell everyone she's with the attractive blonde guy Jasper who looks uncomfortable at all times, and the last one is named Edward, and he's a bit broody."

If the group hadn't been watching them closely, the smirk Jasper gave would've been missed. Everyone could tell Emmett was trying not to laugh while Rosalie was actually smiling. The other two, they did not look happy in the slightest. Actually, their reactions were extremely worrying.

Her eyes met Jaspers and it was like electricity was running through her whole body, he was hers and she was his. She could tell that there were still a few missing, but there wasn't a doubt in her mind that they're mates.

Eyes wide, she turns to her friends and they have a quick conversations with their eyes. Thankfully they had seen the guys in the pack imprint and already knew what was happening. They all got up and left the cafeteria to start sending out messages to the pack, and Charlie. Got and their cars and drove down to La Push for an emergency meeting. The whole day had been flipped on it's head. At least it was Jasper Whitlock though, he had always been one of her favorites. Just have to love a cowboy.
