A/N: I actually have a pretty severe form of asthma, so I will be writing based off of my experiences and my form of asthma, I know that it is different for everyone so be sure to keep in mind that it is my experiences and understanding, not everyone has the same experiences or knowledge level about different medical conditions.

Ever since the band began preforming on these huge stages you and the security team have been extra careful during concerts. You see, ever since you were 3 years old you have had asthma attacks provoked by too much physical activity. Paul, the main security guard, always had your emergency inhaler on hand during the concert. The entire security team and each of the boys knew the signs of you struggling to breath since it has happened a few times, but not during a concert yet. You were bouncing on your feet while listening for your cue in 'Heart Attack' when everyone sings together, but your trachea started to close up. You barely noticed, used to the feeling and being in the concert zone, but the 'band dad' Liam definitely noticed your labored breathing. Liam headed over to the bucket full of cold waters, knowing sometimes that will help and you will be fine after a drink. You smiled thankfully and chugged half of the bottle before noticing how difficult it was for you to breath. Knowing your limits you whispered to Liam to take over your parts until you get back. You slowly made your way off the stage to Paul, who is always right there in case of emergency. He saw you put your mic in Liam's hands and walk over with your hands on your head and breathing heavily, knowing, he pulled out your inhaler and rushed an assistant to find two chairs. He handed you your inhaler and took the half empty water bottle away, knowing its difficult for you to hold anything when you are focusing on breathing. The assistant rushed back with two chairs and the on hand medics placed cold washrags on your neck as you sat down. Paul pulled your feet up into the second chair as you ripped your earpiece out, the sounds making it difficult to focus. You heard the stage noises much clearer now and the music began to die down. The fans cheered and you heard someone start to say something, but due to where you were and your focus on your breathing it just sounded like mumbling to you. You heard the intermission/ band break music, knowing there were still a few more songs until the intermission was supposed to happen. The boys all sprinted back to find you and make sure that you are okay. Liam found you first, being the one to alert the boys and end the first half of the concert early. After Paul and the medics reassured the boys you were already breathing better after using your inhaler and taking the proper precautions they all calmed down and grabbed the towels the assistant provided and started chugging water and dragging chairs over by you. Once you felt recovered for the most part you sat up and took the wet rag from your neck, it now warm. "Paul, can you pass me my water?" Your shaky voice asked the man who has been focusing on your heart rate the last few minutes for the medics report. "Do you want the rest of the opened one or a new cold one?" You pointed to the new cold one in his hand and he passed it to you, allowing you to take small slow sips, still focusing on breathing. Once you felt back to normal you stood up and started to move towards the dressing room so you can get into your other cooler set of stage clothes and rest a bit more, not knowing when they were going to start the second half of the show. Niall was right by your side, the more nervous and worried of all the boys, he never was the best during these types of situations. "Niall, I'm fine now, you don't have to be 3 inches from me to ensure that I don't pass out." You looked in his eyes so that he could see that you were sincere in the fact that you were fine now. You went to your dressing room, changed, then headed back to the boys' dressing room to chill out for a bit while they get ready for the rest of the show. Assistants came back to tell you guys you had 10 minutes until showtime, Paul came back to check on you. "Y/N, make sure you take it easy, at least in the beginning and work your way back up to running back and forth across the stage. Please. For my sanity." You giggled, knowing that Paul sees you like his daughter, especially with you being the only female within the band. "Paul, I know my limits. Could you have the stage managers place a few chairs or seating about the stage so I can actually rest without just laying on the gross sticky stage." He nodded and left the room. You and the boys made your traditional pre-stage huddle/circle and they all told you to make sure to take it easy and if you need them to take over your part don't hesitate to ask. You made your stage line and where the boys and you would usually sprint out they slowed down and walked to make sure you went slow and so you didn't feel awkward walking after the rambunctious group of boys you've grown to love.
