"Oi. Hey, Celaena. EARTH TO CELAENA." yells Jade hitting me smack bang across the cheeks.
"zzyahh?" I bindly reply, ignoring Jades slap as I start to drift away. Damn school and it's stupid assignments and homework.
Because seven hours of school isnt enough!"CELAENA!"
"Yes-what-YES!" finally snapping out of my little la la land only to see Jade glare at me with her sky blue eyes. Then the after shock of the slap stings my cheeks like a thousand needles.
Ouchie."Are you thinking about Zac again?" she teases, nudging my elbow trying to keep her face as seductive as she can. A flush of embarrassment embraced my cheeks giving them a big hug.
"N-n-n-no! Of course not!"
"Awww. That's not nice to say! You'll hurt his feelings!" she giggles while I turn away from her, wishing Satan sends her flying to China someday.
Everyday.
My eyes almost pop out of my sockets when I see the pile of assignments sitting right in front of me.
Did we always have this much?
I turn back to Jade sending her a death stare, who is trying to look as innocrnt as she can by twirling her blonde hair."Jade." in the most angrivated I can make. A little laugh escapes from her lined lips as she cups it with her hand trying to not let anything else escape.
"Jade you lil-"
"Celaena! Jade! Do you want me to put you somewhere else?" threatens Mrs Hamel, glaring at us through her glasses.
"No Miss, we're sorry." we both apologize at the same time looking up to her.
She sighs and adjusts her glasses before reopening the book that she was reading. Mrs Hamel looks pretty damn young for a forty year old teacher. Her face has absolutely no wrinkles making it look like she's still in her thirties, and she only has a few strands of grey hair! Even my mum doesn't look that young.
Because she's not...
I send Jade another death stare but she ignores it by flipping her hair like all ratchets do and takes her eyes to the empty white board. Ohoh. She wanted me to get angry on purpose.
Typical Jade. Drawing attention and ignores it like nothing. Then gets me into trouble.
Sometimes I wonder how I'm even best friends with her.Jade and I exit our english classroom and walk towards our lockers after the bell rang, but guess what? Like in all movies and books, the good girls always run into the bad girls.
Yup.
We ran into one of them. One of the twig bitches named Claire. Claire and her little mob of followers.
"Hey Jade." she smiles looking at Jade but then turns to me with a smug look on her face, brushing away her brown hair revealing her little hazel puppy eyes. God, her and her innocence. "Hi Celaena."
"Hey." Jade replies, stepping on my foot snapping me out of my glare that I had know idea I was in.
"Oh, hey Claire." rolling my eyes, letting her know that I didn't want to talk to her.
Or even get near her.She gives me a sarcastic smile after seeing me roll my eyes. Claire knows me as much as Jade knows me.
After all, she is our ex-best friend.
