(17 Years later)
I was sitting in a meadow watching a beautiful woman talk to angels. Her eyes were as blue as the ocean, her hair spun silver and gold. In my mind I knew she was called the Throne but I didn't know why. I looked around me and saw angels everywhere watching the Throne and an angel that looked almost like my mother speak.
"We must deal with Lucinda and Daniel," she said as she leaned back in her throne, and surveyed the gathering before her. "As you know, the time has come for me to again ask these two a question." Everything went quiet. "Lucinda, We'll begin with you." The angel Lucinda nodded. She was beautiful. Hair was black like a raven and it was really long. She looked almost like me. I looked at the angels around me wondering why I was here. I looked behind me but my view was blocked by angel wings. My wings. Bright and beautiful. I focused on the conversation once again.
"You may have heard something about a balance between the angels of heaven and the forces of Lucifer?" The Throne asked. Lucinda nodded. "And so the question falls once more: Will it be heaven or hell?"

"Emma! Emma wake up. I need some help." I woke from my dream dazed and confused "Emmaline!" My brother called out. I'm too tired to deal with him right now.
"Just 5 more minutes Jon." I say sleepily. He ignored me. Bastard.
"Emma please I need you" I looked up at my clock. 3:30! Why the hell does he need me at 3:30? "Emma?" Jon pokes me.
"What Jonathan? Why do you need me so badly at 3 in the damn morning!" yeah, okay i'm not a big joy to be around when I don't get my 10 hour sleep.
" I need help with homework." He says quietly.
"Do it this afternoon, after school. Let me sleep." I try to yell but it comes out as a whisper. He sighed, genuinely sounding sorry he had to wake me.
"No can do sis, It's due second period today." I sit up and get out of bed slowly. Don't look at his face Em, you'll cave and you know how badly you wan't to get back into bed.
"What kind of homework?" I ask. He looks at me then back at the ground.
"Just a hundred page essay." He says slowly not looking at me. I close my eyes and take a big deep breath in. I'm calm, I'm so calm.
"You're having a laugh, right?." He must be joking. He never usually leaves things this last minute. I could kill him. I make the mistake of looking at him and he gives me his 'I'm your big brother and I love you' look and I always crack. "Okay I'll help with the first 50 pages and I get $50. Deal?" He looks at me, smiles and nods.

(6 hours later)
I see my friend Claire sitting at the back of the class, her auburn hair up in a loose bun looking like she hadn't slept a wink last night. She's sees me heading over and smiles.
"Hey, D." I sit at the desk next to her and notice the bags under her eyes. "Feeling great?" I ask. I can understand how she felt. I ended up writing all of Jonathan's essay and didn't get time to finish my beauty sleep. Which I really really needed. I left the house looking like a bag of crap.
"Always Em," She winked at me "But I kept having weird dreams last night. It was crazy, these ange..." Her brother Nick, who was sitting in front of us turned around and interrupted her.
"Hi Emma," He smiles at me. "You look beautiful today." Nick grabs my hand and squeeze's it. He's always done that ever since we were little. He could always tell when I was thinking negatively.
"Thanks Nick." I say squeezing his hand back. "You've made my day." I smile at him and remove my hand from his. There was a gleam in his eye. I looked away pretending I didn't notice.
"So have you guys heard about the new students?" Claire asks looking at us. "They're cousins." She adds like that will magically change the fact that we haven't heard of them. Nick and I shake our heads. New students are rare around here. I'm so over the same old drama so this should be good.
"I've seen the girl," Claire says. "She's gorgeous, She's the kind of gorgeous that makes responsible girls and boys blabbering idiots." I laughed as Nick threw a pen at her. Our science teacher Mr. Star strolls in throwing papers on his desk. He was a handsome man. He was the very definition of tall, dark, and handsome. Most girls frothed over him. I looked up at him and saw him staring intently at me. A familiar cold shiver runs down my spine.
"Okay class, since you all did poorly in your last spot test, I'm giving you 5 extra pages for homework so you can catch up. I think that's fair. Anyone disagree?" He asked daring us to speak.
"I do!" said someone in the back corner. I turn around and see my brother's best friend Ryan. I smile and lean back in my chair. This should be interesting
"Okay, Mr Peters. You can have another 5 pages." Mr. Star smirks and begins the lesson.
