Neptune entered Albedo's lab.
"Albedo? You there? I'm here because of the note you gave me!"
No answer.
"Hello? Sucrose? Anyone??"
Still, no answer.
She kept on trying.
Footsteps approached the lab.
She gasps, "who's there?"
It was Albedo. Although... he seemed...
different.
"Hello, Neptune. I see you're here for our painting session? Don't worry! We're alone. Sucrose is with Timeus down in Mondstadt. So we've the lab to ourselves." Albedo told her.
Neptune thought: phew! That was close! I didn't want to be in dragonspine alone any longer!...
"Albedo! haha, yes, your correct. I'm here for our little...uh...session." Neptune replied.
"Good, shall we get started? It'd be a shame not being able to paint while there's snow falling, won't it?" He said, there was a slight crack in his voice, Neptune seemed to notice..
" Oh, well.. I guess we can start." Neptune answered, shivering slightly.
"I see you aren't dressed in proper attire for Dragonspine weather, are you?" He questioned.
Neptune blushed, still shivering,
and nodded.
"Ah, yes. Indeed. You're correct, again... hehe"
Albedo told Neptune to change into some spare clothes he had, and she did. After a while, Albedo and Neptune started to paint.. thats when Neptune realised something...
This Wasn't Albedo...
An imposter had seen her change, let alone fool her into thinking it was him, and almost manipulating her mind, almost persuading her to fall for him.
She stopped painting and rose
from her seat.
"I know you're not the real Albedo." She called.
'Albedo' looked at her blankly, and simply replied: "so, you've finally figured it out.. took you long enough.."
"What in Death's name are you talking about?!" Neptune panicked.
"You see, Albedo is still on his way here from Inazuma, he went to the Irodori Festival there, did he not tell you that he was going there? So very... out-of-character.."
And thats when Neptune went missing
for 2 months..
