It's been years since they have lost him. The fall of Kowloong Metropolis ended in the most heroic way possible.

Atom: Stop this Qu.

He says as Qu falls on one knee. Lucia's time ran out before she could finish the job. He took her spot and fought Qu. It wasn't easy for him nor for her. The human body of Atom was failing and falling apart. On the boat before they made it to Kowloong, Qu took Atom and tried to forcefully put the Huaxu in his body. It failed but some of his nanobots inside of his body broke down because of it. And because of that, a nanobot dies one-by-one.

Atom falls on his knee but uses his sword as leverage.

Atom: Alpha is going to be so pissed at me.

He says as he coughs up blood with some punishing virus in it. He wiped his mouth and stands up fully, and so does Qu.

Qu: Your frail, human body is dying.

Atom: And so is your rusty, construct body. So I say we're pretty even.

He laughs as Qu smiles lightly.

???: Commandant!

He hears as his team plus Ayla and Karenina shows up.

Atom: You guys took your sweet time.

The team looks at him in horror to see how far the Punishing is intruding his body. The red veins reaching his right eye causing it to go black and red.

Liv: Commandant take the serum!

Atom: Liv... It's to late for me. The serum will just delay the inevitable.

He says as he throws the serum to Liv as she catches it. She shakes her head no as Atom smiles sadly. He looks out towards the team.

Atom: It's been great working with you all. I got to know each and every one of you. You are all great people. Not constructs, cyborgs, machines no... You are all my friends, and I love you all dearly. Take Lucia, get her out of here. The next time we meet will be in the afterlife.

He says as he puts a protection bubble around him, Qu and Gabriel.

Atom: I knew you were here Gabe.

Gabriel: What did you do!?

Atom: I put a bubble around the three of us so we can end this fucking battle.

Gabriel: What about Alpha!? What about Queen Luna!?

Atom: I love them both dearly, so don't you EVER speak their names in my stead.

He says as he gets in his stance as the celestial aura surrounded him. Qu went next to him and got in stance.

Qu: Let's end him so we can finish our fight.

Atom: With pleasure, I have some payback to dish out.

Gabriel turns into a monster with wings as Qu and Atom got ready. Gabriel flew straight at them as Atom jumped over him as Qu slid under. Atom swiftly unsheathes his blade as a thousand waves came towards him. He barely dodged as Qu stabbed him the chest and threw him over her head. She took her staff blade and cut one of his wings off. He screeched in pain as Qu covers her ears as Atom just stands there staring at him.

Atom: It's time to finish what you've started years ago.

They rushed at each other as they got close, Atom blinked a short distance and cut him in half. He slowly sheathed his blade as the cut was formed as his top half slid off of his bottom half. Gabriel is dead. Qu sat down tired as Atom fell back laying down. Qu sat next to him with her broken blade. She took out the Cube of Huaxu. The cube was pulsating with energy. She sighed as Atom sat up.

Qu: Looks like this is my end.

Atom looks at her body as it was getting paler and paler.

Atom: It looks like it.

She lays down.

Atom: It was great fighting along a soldier like you.

Qu: Heh, me too.

Atom: I wish we were on the same side.

Qu: We would've been invincible.

Atom: Yeah we would.

She slowly closes her eyes as Atom smiles sadly. He took her weapon and placed it in her hands. Atom slowly stands up and limps out, using his blade as a cane. He deactivates the barrier and walks out.

???: Atom!!

Atom's vision was blurring as he fell to the ground. Alpha caught him before he hit the ground.

Alpha: Babe... Babe talk to me!

Atom: A-Alpha?

Alpha: Yeah it's me. Come on, me and sis will heal you-

Atom: It's no use.

Alpha: You're joking right? You always make it out back to me and sis? Please just lets go.

Atom: The virus is spreading fast.

He opens his eyes as she sees his once beautiful, galactic like eyes replaced by deathly black and red eyes.

Alpha: No... It can't be... Sis!! SIS HELP!!

As soon as she said that, Luna came rushing and saw Atom's state. She rushed towards them and held Atom's hand.

Luna: Sis... It's to late.

Alpha: No...

Atom: H-Hey don't be sad... At least you won't have to deal with me anymore.

He says as he chuckles than coughs.

Alpha: Please don't go. I need you.

Atom: I promised you I would never leave you. I'll always be here.

He says as he points at her heart. He turns his head to Luna.

Atom: You to Luna. I love the both of you with all that's left of my broken and infected heart.

He says as he starts to cry a little.

Atom: I'm scared.

Alpha hugs him close to herself.

Alpha: Shh, Shh, I'm here with you. Always.

Atom: I can't remember the last time I slept.

He says as his eyes close for the last time. All that was left of Kowloong was the weeps of Alpha and Luna...

Present

The years have passed since then. A new city was built in Delaware, it went under the radar for quite some time.

But the underground was a capsule with green liquid. It looked like Atom. He shot his eyes open.

Atom: I fucking hate the Punishing Virus.
