Chapter 6

"So, Sonic, you and Amy?"

"...No. You already know who I have my eye on, babe." Sonic winked at me, making me groan in response.

"Really? I would've thought you enjoyed that dance." I teased.

"Y/N, are you saying this just to make me mad so I ask to kiss you?" Sonic teased back. I rolled my eyes and slouched deeper into the couch.

"That's absurd, Sonic."

Maybe.

"It doesn't have to be~" Sonic inched closer, even though the lack of space between us was definitely not much already.

"Oh my god. I can't believe she chose neither!" I shifted my attention back to the TV. Which made Sonic grumble at the lack of attention.

"Pfft, sounds like someone I know."

"Sonic! Pay attention! This is the best part!" I whined, completely ignoring his last statement. Sonic groaned and placed his arms back around my waist. I was too focused to move them away.

Or maybe I just didn't want to.

That statement will never be told.

"Hey, Y/N!" Silver called. It was later on in the afternoon and Sonic had to go to meet up with his siblings. He invited me along but I didn't really want to see a feud between him and his brother so I went to the cafe.

Somehow running into Silver...

"Hey, Silver. Are you by yourself?" I smiled, taking my seat across from him at the booth.

"Yeah. Shadow doesn't really like hanging out with me and Tails was fixing his plane."

"...Plane?!" I held back a yelp.

"Uh, yeah. He's kinda a genius. He invents planes and machines." Silver commented awkwardly. Obviously not well taught with the subject.

"Wow, that's amazing. Are you into any of that stuff?" I tried breaking into a different conversation, seeing as he wasn't comfortable with the last one.

"Nah. I'm not exactly the smartest person. Most people actually call me clumsy." Silver chuckled, causing me to giggle along.

"Hm, I'll just have to find out. Want to go out and do something?" I completely tried to ignore my fear of rejection.

"Yes!" Silver squealed almost too quickly. He recovered his state of shock and embarrassment and cleared his throat. "I mean, yeah. Where do you want to go?"

I silently giggled at his happiness and smirked, "I dunno. What do you like to do?"

"Well, I like eating sweet food and I'm pretty hungry. Want to get ice cream?"

Oh, he just read my mind.

"Hell yes."

The two of us walked out of the cafe and went to retrieve ice cream at the park. We broke into a blissful conversation but Silver seemed to be a little shy at first.

I found it awfully cute.

"I bet you're a vanilla kind of guy." I smirked as we went to ice cream stand.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Silver looked at me, taking half offense.

"I don't even know." I shrugged and ordered my ice cream. Silver did the same and ordered vanilla. I smirked in victory.

"So, do you like Sonic?" Silver asked out if the blue and completely catching me off guard.

"Um, what?" I muttered as I was handed my ice cream cone.
