It's a normal day after work, my shift at work finished at 12 55. Take the time to walk my weak, hurt feet to a nearby Popeyes cause their fries and tenders were calling me today. I struggle to get there like I do whenever my feet hurt. It feels like traffic as I zig zag through people taking up the street, I get stuck behind an old couple while waiting for a group of friends to pass us by on the other side of the street. My rage builds as all these people are taking up space and my walking speed, I don't say anything just boil inside. I look around to think about other things when I spot something different from birds and planes flying around the sky. It buzzes around like a fly leaving a red trail. It soon zips past all the animals of the sky and flies at me. Time seems to stop when it get close, as if to give me time to think. It dodges cars and people as it approaches. The group of friends pass by as I raise my right hand to reach for it. It quickly slides onto my ring finger and glows. I stop walking to look at it closely, I realize it's a red lantern ring.
"Why did you choose me?" I whisper, then continue my walk through the street. I try not to bring attention to the alien object that just came into my life. It glows bright and I try to cover it with my hand. It's light beating the sunlight, it's not long before I feel a burning sensation in my body.
"Ngh, aaaah." I growl before it becomes a shout. My blood is boiling, one of the effects of the ring, turning my body fluids in a lava like substance. Clothes generate on my body cloaked in red cover me and my other clothes as I look my concentration on staying quiet.
