chaemin hid herself in the corner of the room. head resting on her knees , hugging herself tightly. pictures of the childhood best friends were scattered on the wooden tiles, she glances at the images once in a while. shoulders trembling as she pressed her palms against her lips, afraid of letting anyone hear her sobs.
there were letters behind those old pictures. thank you for cheering me up chae, i promise to protect you at all cost! and forever make you happy my little princess. i'm so glad to have you in my life , love you ♡ -10 years old beomgyu to 7 years old chaemin. "these empty promises", she pathetically chuckled.

the following day , it was the last 5 mins of recess and the group of friends were at an empty study corner. chaemin had her head down on the table, sighing while she watched her friends eat. "what's with the mood swing ,chae?", yeonjun ruffled her long hair. "stop!", she groaned in annoyance. "well, i can guess why she's so sad.", yesoo shrugged before completing her sentence, "it's because mr choi isn't giving you the attention you want isn't it?" this made chaemin sit up and glare at the female who was munching on her burger, "i suggest you to shut your big mouth if you don't know anything." "this just proves i'm right, you're just jealous that your little crush prefers me over you!", yesoo put on an arrogant crooked smile. chaemin bit her lips, trying to not make things a big deal but what her friend said afterwards threw her over the edge. "mr choi would do me so well with those fingers don't you think?", yesoo smirked on purpose to trigger the other.
chaemin immediately pulled yesoo's braids with huge force , making her throw her head back. "my fingers could do you well too!", she sarcastically choked the vulnerable girl. yeonjun tried pulling them away but it was useless, "enough! it's mr choi class now,we're very late!" yesoo then scratched chaemin across the face, resulting in blood on her cheek. the latter pushed her down on the bench, slapping her multiple times.
Suddenly, chaemin was pulled away forcefully. the discipline teacher stared angrily at the students but put all the blame on chaemin when she saw yesoo's cheek swollen , red and puffy with tears welled up in her eyes. "i'll take yesoo to the school pharmacy, i better see the two of you in mr choi's office later.", the teacher scolded sternly before helping the injured girl.
