Season 1 Episode 1 - meet

(Charlies pov)

The school bell was ringing. I walked smiling through the schoolhalls. Pushing through the crowd on my way to the library. Grabbing my phone and seeing a instagram message.

Arriving at the library i said "Ben?" I saw no one and grabbed my phone seeing another notification from instagram.
Ben Hope
'Actually can we meet up at break instead?'
"Oh." I said dissapointed. 'okay☺️❤️' i typed back. "Happy new year, truham boys" i heard the principal say over PA. "Uh, dont forget there'll now be students from all school years in your new form hroups. I hope you enjoy getting to know some fresh faces in registration each day" the principal spoke again. I looked at my hand with 'B25' written on it. Walking in my class. "Oh! If it isnt Charlie Spring. Happy new year" the teacher said. "Hi, sir." I said. Waiting to be told where to sit. "Come to join the hamlet house?" He spoke again. "Apparently so." I replied back to the guestion of the teacher. "Where did i put you on the seating plan?" The teacher looked through the papers. "Ah, yes, you're over there. Next to Nicholas Nelson." He pointed at nick. "He's in year 11. So only one year older than you. One of the rugby boys too. I think i'm sure you'll get along swimmingly. Or you can just sit in silence for the rest of the year. It really doesnt affect me in any way whatsoever." He said. I walked to nicks table sitting down next to him then turning my head to him. He looked at me. Smiling. "Hi" i said with a big smile. "Hi" he replied back. Still smiling. I dont get why but i liked the way he looked. But why? I was dating ben. Right? The school bell rang. I came into a room where ben was waiting for me. "Hey" ben said putting his phone in his pocket. "Sorry about earlier" ben looked at me. "Its fine" i said, i didnt realy mind it anymore to be honest. "I missed your face so much." Ben stepped closer to me. I chuckled. "Really? Did you have a good christmas?" I asked him. He nodded, "yeah, it was all right. You?"
He asked me. "Yeah, yeah, it was good. My whole family was arounr on christmas day and then.." he suddenly kissed me. "You're so cute" ben said after kissing me. We both chuckeled. He kissed me again. The school bell started ringing. He suddenly pulled me away and wiped his lips. "See you later then. Yeah? Still don't tell anyone about this." He said walking away. "oh. Umm.." i wanted to speak. "Bye." He didnt even say goodbye to me and ignored me. The next day while walking to my class i bumped into nick as we both wanted to enter the class at the same time. "Hi," "hi." We both said. It went on like that. We didnt do anything intresting stuff we just said hi everyday. A few days later while i was walking to mathclass i bumped into nick. "Hi-" he said. "Hi!" I replied back. "Are you going that way?" He asked. "Yeah. Math" i replied. "Same" he said. We walked together to math class. "Are you litterally doing your homework while walking to your lesson?" I said laughing. As he was doing his homework. "I might be" he said. "Thats very chaotic" i chuckled. "That makes me sound way cooler than i actually am" he turned his head to me. "Do you want me to do that for you?" I saw he was thinking, Stuck at the same answer. "No, im good" he rejected my offer. "I can tell you the answer" i said. "Then i wont learn" he looked at me. "If you're stuck i can just.. let me just.." i resched out for the paper. His pen touched my hand as nick accidentally drew a wobbly line on my hand. "Get off." He said laughing. I pointed at my hand. "How dare you?" I said in a extremely british accent, "look-" nick pulled my hand and drew 2 dots. It looked like a smiley on my hand. "Better?" Nick said. I chuckeled. "Maybe" we continued to walk. We walked past ben. "Hey" i said to ben. "What?" He looked at me and pretended he didnt know me. I was confused. "Uh.. just hi" i said confused. He chuckeled. "Why are you talking to me? I dont know who you are. All right, mate?" Ben looked at nick. "Yeah" nick replied back. I was just looking down at the ground. He laughed. Ben looking at me again. Ben walked away, "you're friends with ben?" I asked nick looking at him again. "Uh, yeah. Hes in my year." Nick replied back. "We hang out sometimes" "oh." I replied back continuing to walk. At lunch tao came running with 2 bottles of apple juice. "I did it again." Tao said with a annoyed tone in his voice. "I hiught elle's drink. Again." Tao  sat down. "Didnt you do that yesterday?" Isaac looked at tao. "Yes isaac. Ye, i did." In a stupid sounding voice. "And on monday" i laughed. "Elles not here." I said. "I know." Tao said annoyed. "Shes not been here all week" i said. "I know. I keep forgetting" tao looked at the applejuice infront of him "tao you're allowed to miss her" i said. "Okay, fine. Its better that she's at an all girls school. Mr. Reed was still refusing to call her elle." Tao said. tao looked annoyed, he probably hated mr. Reed. "Yeah. Mr reed's a massive transphobe." I said. "Its still weird though" tao began speaking again. Isaac didnt say allot. "There used to he four of us, now theres three. Like four is a group. Three is just a.. trio." I looked away at nick. He was  with his friends they were shouting. tao also turned around to look what i was looking at. "Isn't that nick nelson? The guy you sat next to in form?" Tao looked at nick. "Who?" I said. "He looks like a golden retriever" tao said.  "He doesnt look like a golden retriever-" i said. "Okaayy, he kind of does" i admitted right after i said he didnt. Laughing, "i cant believe you've sad next to rugby king nick nelson, like what are you going to talk abt?" Tao looked at me again. "We talked" i said. "Realy? About what?" Tao asked. I remembered something. "Charlie, you dont have a tissue, do you?" Nick walked up to me while we were in class. Fully covered in ink. "My pen just, uh, exploded." Nick said looking at the ink on his hands. "Its not coming off." Nick said while trying to wash the ink off his hand with water. "You're gonna be blue forever"  i laughed. "It looks like im wearing blue gloves!" Nick said showing his hands at me. "You can make it the new school fashion" i said chuckeling. "Or i'll pretend its a tattoo" nick chuckeled. I suddenly focussed again. "Well, be careful." Tao said. "What, why?" I asked himz "why? Look at them" tao pointed at the rugby lads. The lads were cheering. "Look at us! We ate a group- no, a trio of borderline outcasts. He is the starplayer on the rugbyteam. And he's friends with a bunch of loud, gross year 11s who are like the guys who bullied you last year." Tao said. "But like.. nick.. hes different. Hes nice" i said. I looked like i was inlove, i didnt even know nick very well and im still dating ben? Arent i? "I bet hes a while different person when hes with his bro, dude mates" tao said. I chuckeled. I smiled at nick walking in a distant. Tao grabbed his phone texting elle. 'Hey i have news from truham' tao texted to elle. "Lunch ends in five minutes, girls" a teacher from higgs girls school said. 'Spill the tea'. Elle texted back. 'Charlies obsessed with some rugby lad in his form' tao texted to elle. 'oh NO' elle texted back. 'Why is he like this? Anyways HI how are you?? Hows higgs today?" Tao texted. 'Higs is sooo much hetter than truham, no ones chucked a sandwich accross the cafeteria all week.' Elle texted. 'Omg, heaven. Made any new friends?' Tao texted back. Elle looked around. Sitting alone at a table. 'Yeah!! Everyones realy nice☺️' elle texted. Clearly lying. A teacher stood infront of elle clearing her troath. "Is that a phone, elle? Well? We dont make exceptions, even for new students.  You can have this back from reception at the end of the day." The teacher said walking away with elle's phone.  The next day came. I stepped out of the bus. I got a instagram notification from ben. 'Meet me in the library??' Ben texted me. I putted my phone in my pocket. I arrived at the library spotting ben. I stood infront of him. "You know i'm sorry about ignoring you yesterday." Ben said grabbing my hand. The smiley face from nick was still there. "Yeah." I replied back. Ben kissed me. It was lunch time. I sat in the art room. "Its been quite a while since you've hidden in here at lunch." The art teacher said. "Im not hiding" i said. "Then what are you doing?" The art teacher turned his head to me. "Eating lunch." I showed my lunchbox. "Oh right, so everythings okay? No bullies i need to sort out again?" He asked me. "No. Everythings fine." I said. The art teacher nodded. "Actually, there is kind of someone" i said. "A bully?" The art teacher looked at me again putting his pen down. "I've.. i've got a boyfriend" i admitted. "Ah. Well, congratulations." He said clapping his hands. "Not.. it's.. i dont even know if.. i dont think he even thinks we're boyfriends anyways. He ignores me sometimes. He doesnt even like people seeing us talk to eachother in the corridors. He pretends like he doesnt know who i am. But then when its just us two he's fine." I sighed. "Well have you talked to him about how that makes you feel?" The teacher asked me. "No." I sighed. "Maybe you should talk to him then?" The art teacher said. I groaned. "What do you want me to say? Break up with him?" The art teacher asked me. "Dont know" i replied back, "well do you want to break up with him?" The teacher replied back. " i dont know" i said again. "I cant solve your problems for you charlie, what about your friends. Have you talked to them about it?" He asked me. "They wouldnt get it" i replied back annoyed. "Why not?" He asked. "Because they're not gay.". The art teacher sighed. "Just talk to him, its better to he honest in the long run" he said. "I hate being honest" i sighed. "I know. It took you three months to tell me you were being bullied." The teacher said looking at me. I was walking around. I spotted nick looking at him.  Some people stepped away and i suddenly spotted ben speaking to another girl. He suddenly kissed the girl. "I'd never lie to you, don't worry" the girl said to ben. I looked dissapointed. Walking away. 'I dont want to meet up anymore.' I texted ben. 'Ffs were not gonna get caught' he texted back. I didnt answer. 'Dont ignore me charlie, hello????' Ben texted. I just turned off my phone and ignored him. I was looking at my food the next day. I wasnt hungry. Tori suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Morning" she said. "Jesus tori" i replied back. "Whys your face like that?" Tori asked. She noticed that i was sad. "I broke up with my boyfriend" i replied back. "Was he a knob?" Tori replied. "Yes.." i replied back "well done then" she said. We were in the bus on our way to school. "Hypothetically, what sort of boy do you want to go out with?" Tori asked me. She sat next to me in the bus like always. "One who diesnt mind people seeing us talk to eachother would he nice" i turned around to look at tori. "Someone who's also a nerd or do you want an 'opposites attract' thing?" Tori said. "I dont think i can afford to be that specific, to be honest" i replied back to tori's guestion. "Hypothetically though. Dream guy" she asked me. "I dont know" i said. "Come on" she looked at me "i dont know, just" i said to tori. "Just someone i can have a laugh with." I looked at her again. "And.. who's nice, and kind.. and likes being with me." We arrived at school as the bus stopped.  I spotted nick and looked at him. "I'd probably just settle for someone tall." I admitted. Nick was pretty tall. Like 6'1 or something. I got out of the bus. At pe we had running. I was the fastest. No one managed to be faster then me.  "Come in, year 10! We've been doing this all term and no one's beaten charlie's time yet!" The pe teacher said.  Nick turned around while playing football. Looking at me running. Nick smiled. I didnt even notice him bcs i was focused. I was trying pull my drumsticks out of my locker.  "Hey" nick walked up to me smiling. I zoned out and suddenly all my books fell out of my locker. He grabbed my books and gave them to me. "Thanks" i said. "You play the drums?" He asked me. "Yeah" i smiled. "Thats so cool-" he answered. "So, um, i had something i wanted to ask you" nick began. "Do you wanna join the rugby team?" He asked. "What?" I said confused looking at nick thinking it was a joke. "We have enough players for the team" he began. "But we're not allowed to actually play against other teams without a reserve" he said. "And i saw you run in PE and you're, like, realy fast. So i thought you might be intrested." Nick said.

Im sorry but this already took 3 hours and the other chapters will be way longer so im not gonna contiue writing. Apologies.
