The Abandoned Hospital

2 (The Hospital)

I went to my bedroom and got ready for bed. I was so excited about tomorrow and going to the abandoned hospital. I finally fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, I got dressed and ready for the day. I ate breakfast. "It's time for me to leave so that I can see Rhyleigh again." I said to my dad. "Alright, bye." My dad said to me as I left.

"Are you ready to go to the abandoned hospital?" Rhyleigh asked. "Yeah." I replied. We went outside and walked down the street. "How many miles?" I asked Rhyleigh. "Like, half a mile."

As we walked, I saw a building in the distance that looked abandoned. It had the word signs "Maine General Medical Hospital" at the top. The windows were either broken or cracked and the paint was peeling off of the walls. The outside doors were rusty from rain. "Is that it?" I pointed at the building. "Yes. That is it." Rhyleigh answered. We all walked up to the rusty door and opened it. Surprisingly, It actually opened. "Let's go inside." Rhyleigh said. "Do you have your phone for the camera and everything?" Haley asked. "Yeah."

We went inside the building. "Which way should we go?" Haley questioned. "Probably that hallway over there." Rhyleigh said, pointing in the right direction. "Let me set my phone up to record the video." "Are you sure that we are going to find ghosts though?" I said. "I mean, yeah." Rhyleigh said. "Can't wait." Haley replied. Rhyleigh said some things to the camera. "Let's explore that room over there." I said. "Yeah. That sounds cool." When we were in the room, the sink was rusty and so were the legs on the stretcher. Anything made out of medal in the room was rusty. The paint on the walls was cracked and peeling. The sheets on the stretcher were dirty. "Wow. this does look like a place that would be haunted." Haley said.

Rhyleigh turned the knobs on the sink to find out if it would turn on. Of course, the sink didn't work. She then opened the cupboard. Nothing in there. Haley, Rhyleigh and I went back out into the hallway. There was graffiti on the walls of the abandoned hospital. "Those were some good graffiti artists." Rhyleigh said. "I know, right?" I Responded. "Guys look over there. A stairway that probably leads to the basement." Haley said. Rhyleigh, Haley and I headed down the stairs which did lead to the basement. In the basement, there was a morgue. We entered the unsettling morgue where the bodies were once stored. Haley picked up a flashlight she found on the floor and pressed the button on it. The flashlight needed new batteries. "This is where they used to store the bodies. Did you know that?" I said. "Actually, yes." Rhyleigh said. "We still have not experienced any paranormal activity or apparitions though." I said. "We will. Be patient." Rhyleigh replied. "Okay. I'll be patient then. Honestly, we have not really explored the hospital enough to get any chance of paranormal activity or find any apparitions." I responded. "Let's explore more then." Rhyleigh said.

My friends and I walked around the basement to explore more of the hospital. When still nothing happened, Rhyleigh took out her ghost detector. "This should help with finding ghosts, if it's truly a real ghost detector." Rhyleigh said. Rhyleigh, Haley and I headed toward the direction that the ghost detector was taking us. The lights on it were flashing yellow, which ment we were getting warmer. We stopped when the lights were flashing red. Something fell to the floor. "Oh...umm...okay." Rhyleigh said. Haley laughed at Rhyleigh as she said it. Rhyleigh walked over to investigate. She picked it up and showed it to the camera. "It's a surgical knife." Rhyleigh said to the camera. "At least it's not a bloody surgical knife." I said. We looked down at the ghost detector. It wasn't flashing red anymore. It was green again. "I think we should keep on exploring. I actually have confidence that we will find ghosts now." Haley said. "Yeah, let's go." I said.
